Hey Darren, nice work but careful leaving your tools on site. There are villains everywhere!

I was a hoddy for 12 years on site.never once did you see me standing around.i would have 1 lad look after the brickys and the other loading the job out.stake of bricks than spotboard stake of bricks than spot again.shouldnt have to travel for muck.spots to far.u got concrete blocks the one side and your working the other side.get em to throw em over in a chain.ton of sand in a bad place.so many things here don’t look right..easy with the muck just throw 2 buckets on there and than he can do your cuts point up bed muck on etc.you could all work so much faster.if I could come in for a day and show ya I would ha.anyway you got 2 lads I was on my own most of the time looking after 4 brickys.where all the material been dumped is bad.lot of moving with material that didn’t to be done.had all the bricks on the outside with all the sand.ton of sand with a ton of sand on top.hope this all helps for future jobs.

Agree mate in Pompey where I am you wouldn’t see anyone standing around they’d be gone lit if money out in wages can’t afford to have people stood around

Who is your building inspector? Nhbc require different block types eg concrete and thermalite to be tied in with wall ties/bonding mesh and not toothed in as you have
@markrichardson529526 күн бұрын
Nhbc are not building inspectors.they work under there own regs
@some-idea26 күн бұрын
I knew that about different materials, e.g. clay and concrete, because of different expansion rates. I didn’t realise it applied to different densities of block. Learn something everyday

Darren, is the ground flat a small one bedroom or classified as a studio flat. Asking because the size of the plot to me looks small. You and team as always keep me the good work 🙌🏾👏🏽
@darrenthebuilder25 күн бұрын
I don’t think so. As it has a separate enclosed bedroom

Do you need a wall plate where you join the existing house ? and what about the cavities ? 150mm ?
@darrenthebuilder25 күн бұрын
Cavity is 100mm. I explain it in todays video. What do you mean by wall plate? We will use a wall starter kit if that helps

Why do you use different types of bricks/stones?
@user-gz5bo9rh7c26 күн бұрын
nice job! Q:why are you stopping bricking on the neighbour's side of the wall? Will there be a wall or are you using his wall?
@OMK-_-9626 күн бұрын
They're using the brick wall as you may have missed in previous videos as it was mentioned I'm sure.
