I really appreciate how neutral and polite you were about the other stylist's work. It was a very classy approach. It makes me so uncomfortable when I hear other stylists rip apart someone else's work. They forget we all come from somewhere.

SO nice to hear someone who is so talented remember that we all start some where and starting out as stylist not forgetting that we all have made mistakes. It really helps make things more realistic to show what and who you can be instead of discouraging younger stylist who are still learning their niche.

I'm fixing a spotty job that was my own fault today, and I am freaking out. She was kind enough to agree to come in and let me fix it, and I don't want to disappoint her. Being a young and relatively new stylist is so scary and stressful.
@kearabevels4590

I'm fairly new myself . I did a highlight and lowlights service on a client. She said she wanted her hair kinda like cruelly deville...... but I feel like I didn't do a good job. I mean she never came back to show me how it turned out, for she walked out while her hair was processing the toner 😭

@@kearabevels4590 I think working at a place where the senior stylist can come over periodically and give you pointers can be less stressful.

Great video! As a colorist I get very much stuck in my ways and love to watch other people work. Makes you remember the little things that become so unimportant overtime but really make a difference! I love the double foil technique. So simple yet so effective and I will absolutely be using this in the future. Also love to see someone using Goldwell. That's what my salon carries and I don't see it used a lot on social media or in videos!

Being blonde I've come across stylists that have literally ruined my hair to the point I usually do my own. I figure this way if I make a mistake its on me ( the untrained person). I'd rather own that than pay someone that claims "blonde color specialist yet ruins it. I've watched quite a few of your tutorials and I have to say "you got it!" Blonde is hard to do let alone maintain but you really know your field and I wish you lived in Las Vegas. You are so talented & educated keep posting so others can learn from you what they missed in school. Thank you for posting

Same thing for me in London. I paid a fortune. He made a disaster on me. I had more orange than the woman on the video. I don't trust the hair stylist anymore. I fixed myself. I washed hardly 5 times the color away. Then I bleached again some orange parts. Then I applied 2 toners. Orange is now hidden. Color is so much better. I look a lot better. But I lost so much money... Thanks for the video. It's nice to see that some hair stylists are definitely competent.

As a customer my best advice is to respond when your client messages you a week later that they don't like their hair and they think it's because they(customer) arent explaining what they want right. 😭 my stylist ignored me. I messaged twice 😢. That was really hard for me to do and I'm so mad.

I'm late seeing this but HAVE to comment! What a huge character you have, human you are to speak without harsh judging and without that typical OMG response TOWARD THE STYLIST THAT DID THE MISTAKE!!!! You are a gem of a human being, an example to stylists and to humanity on how to be that one that dares to be different. Stylists can be worse judges of each other than the clients ever are. Oh my heart! What a breath of fresh air and encouraging words!

I’m mind blown at how much you’re able to lift and move your foils around without having any slipping/bleeding. I try so hard not to move my foils so they won’t slip. Is there a certain technique I’m missing?
@JamieDana
@JamieDana 5 жыл бұрын
The more you practice, the more your foils will stay put! It's about the amount of product you are using and how you are locking them in. You'll get it!

I liked that you shared the Bilolage Color Care Acidic milk Rinse. It glided through her hair nicely. Thank You....Plus the Olaplex #1 for keeping the integrity of the hair was nice too. You are an amazing hair colorist. Much success to you.

Bravo to you. Your work is excellent! You know how to see color ranges which is very important and your not afraid to enhance the hair to another level. You have great knowledge of what your doing and you listened well early on. I can see you love what you do. It takes a special eye for this and knowing your products a mixtures as well. Thank you for sharing with others.

I am not a hairdresser, but I do have a legit question with respect to being someone who gets highlighting and color done. I understand that stuff like that happens, but how does a hairdresser let the client leave with a botched job? It's blatantly obvious that this was not a satisfactory job.

I have made a mistake like this before, my client seemed very rushed to get home the whole time I was doing her hair, so I told her to please come back ASAP. and I found it so odd she never came back for her appointment a few days later. I felt really guilty and was excited to fix my mistake for her, so I hated that she didn't show. Seems like people usually are over being at the salon and would rather get it fixed another day. I'd much rather fix it right away, though.
