You do art with hair. I know good work, make that great work when I see it and this is exceptional. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Filling with a demi permanent is a good option for the client that will want to go lighter eventually. For the client that wants to go back to their natural and not continue to color I apply a 1:1 ratio of permanent color of my filler formula and water, then apply my final shade over top. The water in the filler helps with porosity. I have used this technique using many different color lines.

This probably works because the water still activates the permanent with its oxygen. Permanent color still has ammonia meaning it still swells the cuticle more than demi, even with water. If the hair is in great condition, this could be an option. Do what works for you!

@@MirellaManelli Yes Kenra had pre- pigmentation shades that you mixed with water and applied. Same premise. You actually used them on one of your older videos.

Oooooh my goodnesss. Loved the outcome. Your technique is so satisfying to watch!! Can you tell me why 10vol with the permanent shade? Would 10vol work well on roots with a permanent shade or does it make the color more translucent than with 20 vol?
@MirellaManelli3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 🖤 10vol will have more deposit than 20. However I chose 10vol over the demi for more light reflection even though we were doing tone on tone. You most certainly can use 20 for even more vibrancy over the fill formula. It’s really up to you on the type of dimension you’re going for. I really wanted subtlety with this one.
