Wow.☝👏. Thanks mari for this brave yet light heartened sharing regarding the "depth" of respectfulness twds SG culture and laws. Certainly not many non locals long stayers wud want to elaborate abt our tiny Reddot laws or stand up for our uniqueness in that respect. Enjoy learning yr sharing for thoughtfulness towards others too. Cheers and best wishes to a memorable blessed birthday🥂👍🤝 😅

As long as you are not getting a full backpack of gums into Singapore and only small amount for personal consumption, you should be ok. At the most, customs would just ask you to discard them. The main idea is to discourage gum chewing which makes the hard-to-clean litter a nuisance to public.

Thanks that's great, how many days does an exact do in quarantine in Singapore. What is the safest way way of traveling to and finding a job in Singapore. Are there agencies that can help someone find a job in Singapore.
@intheworldofmari
@intheworldofmari 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Quarantine differs between 7-10 days depending which country youre flying in from. Finding a job is extremely difficult at the moment in Singapore... if youre looking at finding an agency, it really depends on your line of work but there are plenty of recruiters here.. theres just a lot of red tape unfortunately... all the best!!

Also please have some common decency on cycling on the road. Try to avoid cycling on roads that are jam-packed with cars during peak period. Singapore road is small. Even if you stick to the left-most side, it can still be a little squeezy for both cyclist and drivers. You will get heavily frowned at. And do not cycle on expressway, you can get fined.

No, no, no! Anyone can sit on the priority seats on the MRT!
@intheworldofmari
@intheworldofmari 2 жыл бұрын
Yes anyone can technically sit there but they shouldn’t especially when there are people that might need the seat more… Or if you do sit there you need to pay attention to when someone boards and might need the seat and then get up… and not pretend you don’t see them…
@coconuttcp2574
@coconuttcp2574 2 жыл бұрын
The priority signs are meant to encourage people to give up the seats, not to discourage people from taking the seats!

Those who have "extra hands" should keep their hands to themselves. You'll see the female here are a "protected species". If you hear the refrain, "I don't know, I'll have to go home and think about it". What he actually means is, he is going to get his wife's opinion first. Anybody disagree?
