A bit extra to add onto it... The govt have a hatchery a bit away from the lake, they keeps a reserve of the lake fish species in the hatchery, at the breeding season every year, the govt will introduce the newly hatched baby fish from the hatchery back into the lake. This is a method to keep the total amount of fish in the lake to always be at the safe level, and as a back up plan if any unforeseen event happens that may cause the fish number in the lack to be damaged to unsustainable level. By record, in 2022, over 7 million baby fishes were released back into the lake in that single year. And chemical fertilizer were completely banned from all agriculture related activities in the region around the lake, human claimed farming lands were returned back to nature forest, green plain, wet land or body of the lake. All of those efforts were to ensure the lake and the fish resource will be able to survive to the future. *edited th fish release number, falsely typed 700 mil, was typing 7000000 but gonna changed to 7 mil before post, yet failed to clear all the zeroes.

@@Krenisphia The Chinese Govt have re-regulated the fishing net for this lake, the net "eyes" were increased from 1 inch (as normal fishing nets) to 6 inches, and the reason of why it take them so long to pull the net out from water is also to ensure the smaller fishes have time to get out from the fishing net as well...

Watched the whole video all the way through the minute you uploaded. So dang interesting and it felt like i could finally visit Dongbei vicariously through you! I love such icy atmospheric environments, and I've always fantasised about visiting the Northeast of China during the winter. As a Singaporean living alone in England during this winter (which means I'm huddled up in my warm room more), this video gave surprisingly cosy vibes through the whole fishing process, from the waking up early and getting picked up by your taxi driver, to the satisfying warm meals. So cosy and niceeeeee - like when the lake sort of came alive with the cute grilling station and people gathering around

In the Bay Area we grew eating a fish that is also a type of black carp with small scales. It would be cooked in porridge, and steamed. Eventually, it was banned from local Asian seafood markets because it was considered an invasive species. It had tons of bones, but with a set of chopsticks the succulent meat was to die for. Check out videos of "Asian Carp" in the Midwest. It shows motor boats going down rivers where the big head carp will literally jump out of the water clocking people right in the head. Great content as always, that Leviathan sized fish meal looked absolutely amazing. I want that cheek meat!
@CDTsuiPo10 ай бұрын
It's strange why there was a ban on sales, to avoid the spread of Asian carp thus banning the commercial practice? But back in the day Asian carp was imported to purify the water, Americans don't even like fish with spines, the ban made no sense. Saw a video of a Chinese company that specializes in catching Asian carp to make cat food.
@263330910 ай бұрын
Because the introduced Asian carp is to remove pollutants from the river, the development of heavy industry in Europe and the United States has long caused serious pollution of heavy metals in the river, and the fish are polluted with heavy metals exceeding the standard.@@CDTsuiPo
