depends on the match up tho, thing about Bloo-D is that it has so many sacky plays that are high risk high reward, the deck would definitely be a bigger threat if it could access some extra deck spice, but then again it's a faithful 2007 degenerate beast

Nostalgic Gorz comeback before die is always one of those iconic moments in YGO. Dark Synchro 3-2, without Barrier, Infernity chances are low against that Synchro powercreep, but who knows.

Lithium; what about a legacy CBC? a cut off point of a certain year(not sure what) where these older decks can compete with each other. I realise power creep will always be a thing to contend with, but i do think that would solve the issue of the older decks getting smashed every game from hand traps and engines they can't cope with. Would love your input and anyone elses!

Very fun match up to watch without a doubt showing off the best decks of the GX-5D's eras As for the next match up, these are both hand looping synchro decks. Dark Synchro may have the upper hand in terms of modern cards, but both decks run Maxx C, so this is purely going to be 50/50% no matter who goes first or second.

I’d give Dark Synchro the edge. It’s more consistent on turn 1 and synchro Infernity without barrier or break lacks control for another explosive deck. Infernity could take it with good opening hands. The trap lineup on Infernity is pretty outdated too. 3-1 DS seems like a fair bet, especially if they can side in Maxx “C”.

Tbh i dont think maxx c is an unfair card, i mean, look at all your videos of the current cup, most of the times when the decks activated maxx c, it got negated or it didnt matter and they still lost the match, it only mattered in a few scenarios and never really was the main reason of winning the match when they did. So maxx c could perfectly come back, and it would help many decks, for example, it would make adamancipator afraid of comboing off, considering there is no hand trap able to stop them because they can recover easily, and for eldlich, well, they arent a combo deck so they arent going to suffer from it

It depends on the matchups. Against combo decks like DDD Maxx C is nearly an Instawin but its also trash against something like True Draco or Guru Controll. So its not actually the card himself but the format makes this card powerful

Lithium needs to play better around Royal Oppression. If you have a hunch that your opponent's set is a Oppression, don't blind MST. Chain MST to the Oppression activation/trigger to burn your opponent for extra. It could have made a difference in the last game.

I feel like the opponent really should have used Hidden Armory 1 turn earlier in game 5. Not doing anything that turn made it even more obvious that he had Gorz and could have potentially left him without Premature Burial if you got the dimension fusion play going 1 turn earlier.

As per usual with power creep trends, the smaller the year gap, the more likely it can be evenly matched. Granted that doesn't mean a thing when you remember how well Bloo-D did in last year's Cross-Banlist Cup against decks nearly 10 years later from it.

That game was so close especially at the end. Only 200 life left. I knew synchro cat had to win. But the next one is a total slaughterhouse for poor infernity. I dont think that era of infernity is the best. It needs barrier. 3-0 for dark synchro for sure.

Royal oppression is a good card. 3-1 dark synchro. On top of dark synchro having access to max cc in side, anything infernity does dark synchro just does 10 times better.

So, a difficult game between 2 degenerate decks where Bloo-D's power of the sack backfired due to opposing deck having access to too much degenerate lock cards, pretty much in line with what was expected. Next one looks like another die roll. Dark Synchro will probably manage to take it by 3-1 or 3-2 with the stronger side deck.
