22:58 My understanding of the rules is the Blitzer would get 3 offensive assists totaling Strength 6, but the Pump Wagon would get 3 Defensive Assists from the three Snotlings marking the Blitzer, bringing the Strength back to 3. Since it was Strength 3 vs 5 it should have been two dice and the defending coach selects the results. If he had used any of the other available Players to preform the Block he would have only gotten 2 Offensive Assists since the Blitzer is marked and can't provide an assist, but at the same time the Pump Wagon wouldn't had 3 Defensive Assists, bringing the totalt Strength to 5 vs 5.

Side step is also on pows, as the pow result is a knock down + push. So whenever you get pushed for any reason, you can side-step. EDIT: Ok, you figured that out as I typed it :D The plus one from Mighty Blow can be applied AFTER the roll is made, so you don't have to decide what to use it on first.

And another thing I picked up on: stunned guys turn around at the end of the turn indeed, but ONLY if they were already stunned at the beginning of the turn.

You also have to decide follow-ups before rolling for armour/injury

Just a rules note. You have to decide whether to follow up a push etc before resolving ball bounces and armour rolls. Not sure the Troll did loner rolls. And you can't use Team Re-rolls in the opponent's turn. Players stunned in their own turn don't stand up at the end of that turn. Lots of fun though, and I know you have dozens of games to remember. Cool video. The scariest thing about the Snotling team is how the new 'special' snotlings all lack Titchy, so actually aren't that reliable at dodging (even with a reroll). As an Ogre player, I have to work 200% at dodging snotlings to stop them all being exterminated, so the thought of having ones that only dodge on 3+ is spooky.

At the weather changes event, the ball doesn’t deviate (D6+D8), but instead it scatters (3 times D8).

The difference between deviate, scatter and bounce is described at the beginning of the rules.

A few rules need re reading. Scatter, Deviate and bounce. Scatter is 1 square randomly 3 times Deviate is D6 square 1 time Bounce is 1 square 1 time. Grab cancels out side step. Grab is any empty square next to the punching player side step, any empty square next to the pushed player Throws/bombs: Natural 1 fumbles 1 after modifiers (so a 2, with a - 1) deviates Failed test scatters (3 randoms) from target square Bombs can be caught, but not interfered with. Mighty blow is applied AFTER the dice are rolled. It's much more powerful now. Blocking, Stumble explicitly says converts to POW! unless the defender has dodge, then it is converted to Push. Also, I might be wrong, but I can't find any restriction on only using one team reroll per activation, though I'm sure I remember reading it. Wrestle doesn't cause turnover, as both players are 'placed prone' not 'knocked down.' Interesting alternative to block, as it over-rules it. There are a *lot* of small changes made. I have the advantage that I've not played much, and dot have to unlearn rules. 😋 Also, I learned a thing from playing a few games with Ogres. Snotlings should not be trying to fight. Dodge dodge dodge, and gang up on lone guys. As soon as you leave a snot in contact, he is getting squished. Second half was much more like it. Those snots had some great plays. Great video, and looks like you guys had fun, which is the most important thing!

The 1 team reroll per turn was in last edition... they have left it off this edition and many folks are discussing if its on purpose or will be FAQed. I for one see no issue with it but the grognards are REEEEEEING extra hard for it.

New Rules clarifications? Doesn't sidestep mean they can move to any of the open adjacent squares not just the 3 normal push locations? (or did this change) Also - a ball in the endzone is now a touchback? Not just off the pitch?

To clear up confusion for new players, At 11:16 you declare a Touchback because the ball scatters to the endzone. This is not a touchback in Blood Bowl. The ball landing in the endzone is actually valid. Now, the ball still had to bounce, and if the bounce causes it to leave the field, he may give it to a player. But you needed to roll for the bounce at least.

Because I want Owen to truly experience the greatness that are the Snotlings I do have to mention the troll has loner so any dice he rolls even block dice can only be rerolled after a 3+ check. Also Buy Bribes! You get them for half price and you need both pump wagons as much as possible.

I think the ball landing in the endzone isn't a touchback anymore, as they got rid of scoring "own goals." Though I'm not the greatest person for understanding rules. Love that you're doing a Blood Bowl season!

Sidestep could have REALLY changed things as pushed snotlings could go where they want basically and take the ball or become road blocks. Very nice game.

Missed rule: the Underdog (team with lowest CTV _after_ inducements) gets a free Prayer per 50k difference so I’m pretty sure Owen should have got 2 rolls on the table. Even after purchasing the riotous rookies, since they don’t count because of low cost linemen. Also, for the Pitch Invasion (and anything else that refers to it) Fan Factor is the roll at the beginning of the game for the crowd. So, Dedicated Fans plus D3. I don’t recall if that would actually have made a difference here though.

A note on the Wrestle skill: Since both players are Placed Prone, using the skill does not cause a Turnover (unless the Blocking player had the ball). Overall, I enjoyed the video though! BB2020 has a bunch of rules that are the same, mixed in with just enough that are different to be confusing.

Also worth noting that Mighty Blow uniquely lets you declare usage after seeing dice rolls, so you can see if you Break Armour naturally before applying it to the roll.

BTW Owen, you should really just fire players that have 0 experience and are missing a game. You then start next game with inducements to get a star player (black gobo?) or wizard or bribes or whatever else you need!

Some rules were waaay off in that game but was very enjoyable buddy :) whenever a snoytling gets knocked down you choose where to go with the player, unless its a both down roll. btw. if you blitz you cant throw the ball with that character too :)

You don't pay for prayers to nuffle.. as far as I know you just get 1 roll per 50k of CTV difference. Also, no need to call out mighty blow before its rolled, if you don't use it on the Armour roll, you can use it on the injury roll

I have been 3 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie that should have been a win in my league this year with them. They are really high variance but people are really nervous to play you due to all of the strength potential and inducements. They are a lot of fun but I have also lost 4-0 so enjoy it when it goes well.

Today’s main question before i watch... Has Guerilla Miniatures read the rules this time? Edit: think you made it to 5 Minutes when you botched the scatter, by deviating instead of scattering. And then they get Mighty Blow wrong... OF COURSE! You decide to use it AFTER the roll has been made. That has been the case for 2 or 3 editions of BB now! Same thing every time on this channel... It’s mostly minor things, but in combination they often change the outcome of entire games you make!

Running a one reroll build is pretty aggressive. Just do not see the Ogre being worth it. No dodge. No sure hands, and no Ag 2+ means even with 4 to 6 block wrestle pieces you will not have the rerolls when you need them. Optimal roster is probably needs to repurpose a bodyguard model into lineman based on the numbers in the box to get the 3 rerolls you want for ag 3+ team.

@@horhevamp8890 I think there is room for variation in nobles on whether you want and ogre or 2 or 3 rerolls and against snotlings played by a new player you can pretty much just go wild. Ashe plays the game very full tilt so probably should be reroll heavy to match his go for it style.
