@@steviealvaalbany2730 Yes, pay attention when Magic at the end in the Cell asked what about him after Miklo says they are using interstate compact to break up la onda. Magic opens the back of the radio and says you ordered me to destroy this but I kept it for protection from you. Its kinda hard to see but its a soap mold of bonafides comb composed of three bars of soap melted together to make the mold.

No because after that he had a meeting with Miklo & onda in the yard. Bonafide told Miklo they "were set up by the AV'rs" That's when they joined up together to take out all the leadership of the whites out. Bonafide never knew that Miklo used him and would then betray him and kill him. Didn't you watch the film? 🤦

*Miklo and Magic plotted to Kill Montana after his disagreement with Carlos. They counterfitted Bonafied's comb so his man would kill Montana when he went to see his daughter. They predicted that Bonafied would think it was the AV'ers who counterfitted his comb but it was Magic and Miklo themselves* After they eliminate the AV'ers with Bonafied they would turn on him. The key ingredient in this plot was gaining Bonafied's trust, Bonafied should have listened to his aide who said "I don't trust him".

The only reason that I can think of Miklo and Magic acting seriously bothered by Montana’s death, would be them both trying to throw off any suspicion that may arise by any of the other La Onda members, to what they both orchestrated. Other than that, if they really tried to portray that Miklo and Magic were really genuinely upset about what they had both done to Montana, then that’s just plain bad story-telling.

This was a painful scene because it just goes to show how easy people are manipulated and played, and how unfaithful the people closest to you can be. Poor Wallace had no idea of the scheme behind the hit, all he knew was he had motive for revenge when La Unda used Carlos's brother Smokey on the streets to blow up the black social club, owned by Wallace's brother. As much as I would have loved to see black and brown unity both in this movie and in real life, it truly isn't possible. It is what it is. Smh

One of the best street gang movies ever. Top 5 easily. My mom loved this movie. My mom grew up in southeast California during the 50s and 60s I grew up in san diego during 70s and 80s. Both of us around the vato pochuco culture. We are white but family, friends, mostly hispanic. Pops was a mechanic who loved working on low riders and hotrods. The areas we lived weren't always the best so I was around Mexican gang lands so this resonates with me. This type of shit was where I lived who I knew.most of our friends families had a few members in gangs. One gang that was brutal in San diego was los locos.they had heavy ties to cartels and they didnt use guns. It was all about the knives bats crobars they were sneaky like that.
