Thanks for this free class! You know, menstrual blood is what you eliminated. Don’t show your hand! No one called. And, blood magic as pseudoscience, for instance the blood-letting of Washingtonian times but also the “occult blood test” in the post-modern era, should be examined, with red ink! Finally, I do see the value in an oath made with blood. But those last only until the time when the oath is stated to end. It is to have a greater proof of the honor of the responsibility.

@diegosaez4885 I'm from guyana, your neighbor 😂👍 I'm sure ur aware of the amerindians , the two main language groups(in guyana) arawaks and caribes, who longer on decend from the incas and andean region mostly have a history of blood feuds and my grandfather told us the caribs use to eat us when we would war, they would sacrifice ontop of natural sacred stone hills also during the night, either for a god or spirit, or during conflict, very similar to how the aztecs mayans and incas did it, because there is more than likely a cultural overlap

Would you be free from your passion and pride? There's power in the blood, power in the blood! Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide, There's wonderful power in the blood!🎶 🎶Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?🎶 Not a Christian, nor am I proselytizing -- but these song lyrics are among the first things that came to mind. Christianity has a history of blood magic. When the Church has legally sanctioned its own cult, it goes about simultaneously persecuting rival blood cults. Fascinating!

It's crazy that the disease is a evolutionary answer to when your ancestors had so little iron in their diets that your blood had to evolve to be better at depositing it into your system and now it's a disadvantage. Perhaps a iron restricted diet could help in symptoms so you're back to what it's made to do but that is probably difficult with modern favorite foods and diets etc.

As a practitionner, what matters to me is the iron content of my tools: oxydable steel for my dagger and iron gall ink for the ink I use to write with & for spirits. I tend to believe that what mattered the most in cave paintings was that: the iron content of paints, and I believe the iron that's found in blood matters also the most, to spirits. I believe spirits care more about (oxydable) iron than about symbols! :-D But that's just my own belief. Iron gall ink works wonders (with a dip pen, and trance possession).
@KristenKras2 ай бұрын
I also have a theory spirits either like or dislike iron (in blood or otherwise). Not sure why.... Possibly the power of iron, the absolute heaviness of it and of course, its occult properties. It is also a very grounding element/ore.

Angela, you know how in esoteric trad the right side of the body is masculine & the left side feminine? Do you think that could be because the writers were men? Could the polarity be reversed for women? Even as a girl I identified my right side as feminine & my left as masculine, and when I "developed" my right breast was larger & my left side grew more body hair. Am I just weird or are women being mapped to a masculine metaphysics?

I can't help but feel there was a significant 'blending' of themes here.... 'blood magic' seems to have been construed with sacrificial rites or magic... then cultural traditions labelled as magic ritual. Omg I would take every single class you taught not only because I'm interested in the subject and want to learn more but also because you're super cute 😭 I will definitely be joining your patreon soon. I'm a self proclaimed Wizard, of the most ancient definition. I enjoy esoteric religious and philosophical text, my degree is in engineering as science was my first true love, but as I studied science I also had an interest in mysticism probably equally as in love with that as I was with science but science was more practical to focus on. Anyway as my understanding in mysticism increased I realize connections to scientific principles. Ie Crystals were thought to trap energies and indeed crystals like silicon and quartz crystals (which we now use to direct energies via transistors) can also trap energies via their quantum properties like Spin Ice entrapment in super conductors. This would be a mere coincidence if this was the only connection but there are many many many more. At some point I realized magik is based on deep understandings of science, perhaps even beyond our modern understanding where we neglect the philosophy that the universe is telling us via laws of nature. And what that means about reality itself... Magik does this

For the blood is the life. Blood sacrifices were meant to but God and Man in atonement (at-one-ment). Hebrews 9:22 states it, “under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” Blood in many cultures the blood of the god is to bring the vital energy to the magician to perform what is needed for not just himself but the community. This is why Blood Magic and Necromancy linked. I am also looking research on the idea of how necromancy and sin eaters are also of the same breed. Life, Blood, Death and magick are linked.

Kinda tangential maybe, but, would vampires feeding on blood qualify as a kind of blood magic ritual? The blood is seemingly the only thing with the right "stuff" to fuel the vampire's supernatural existence. The use here tends to be aligned with concepts of the profane. But that's kinda just an inversion of the whole "bridge between mundane and divine" thing. Two sides of the same coin, so to speak. Obviously vampires aren't referencing anything real. But hypothetically, would anthropologists consider their feeding to be a kind of blood magic ritual?
