Okay, Demeter is an idiot for not taking Athena into account. Unlike the rest who would automatically blame Hera because 'bastards', Athena is smarter than that. She is the Goddess of Wisdom for a reason; she actually investigates and tries to find the truth of matters. How could Demeter forget about the fact that Athena can use owls as spies since they are her chosen animal?

some gods weren't affected like Hera, Poseidon, and Hestia, I wonder if it's because they were the older gods and too powerful to be affected by Demeter's spores. Athena and Apollo wanted to attack Hera when she first came back to Olympus but maybe she was too powerful to be taken down by them. 2nd season Hera is pacifist, but first season Hera probably would have made Artemis, Athena, and Apollo pay for their insolence.

Need season 3 ASAP I like this show. Music, story and animation are all great Edit 14.8.2024: btw i just noticed that Athena and Ares are affected by the spores which only affect bastards. But Athena and Ares aren't bastards. Maybe the show take a different direction from the myth and make them bastards. We didn't know who Ares' father, or Athena's mother in the show.

@@AshleeGusman I think Demeter take into account that they could heal themselves so she must have make sure they wouldn't cure her poison quickly. It's not intended to be forever, just long enough for her and Hades to win the Eleusinian Stone.
