One of Scotland's famous battles fought over religion. KIng's army vanquishing poorly trained, inadequately armed Covenanters who were lacking unity in the taking on the Royalist troops.

They may take our lives but they will never take our Tennent's (Lager). Seriously though, fascinating history of the area. I ended up reading up on the Scottish Covenanter Memorials Association. Well worth a read, rather bloody though, all in the name of religion. Thanks for this one Terry really enjoyed it.

A good expansion upon the Covenanters Terry - they didn't have it good did they? No freedoms and so many losses in the battle. But they were hunted down after too. The remainder would have hid away for the rest of their days. Interesting stuff. Mark
