Oh yes please, I want to see you work through that whole deck! This has to be one of your best videos ever, creative genius (although I'm sure more fun to edit than to actually do) Tantallon was a tough card to draw indeed! Well done mate, superb!

You're not wrong. The Tantallon leg was seriously challenging, but having never been there before, it did open my eyes. What a stunning location.

Maybe you should do 26 each Scott @PlanesTrainsEverything and Steve @steve-marsh 🥰
@karensmith6784 Жыл бұрын
You and Steve would have fun doing more of these challenges together. I think you should both start at the central station and pick a card each ( removing the one you have done Scott) Challenge 1.who reaches the card destination the quickest 2. The cheapest 3. The less changes per route 4. Then get back to where you started

Scott, it's my opinion that your 1960s picture card challenge is a great, crazy idea! Please do more 1960s picture challenges. As you indicated in hindsight, the time you spent exploring the castle kept you from making the connections needed to reach and photograph the Tay Bridge. Bottom line, I really enjoyed the video! 👍

Can I just appreciate how refreshingly fair it is that, with half the castle fenced off, the entry fee was reduced by 50%? They know they could have continued to charge full price, and yet didn't.

Hi Scott. Great video. My dad was born at Halfland Barns, opposite Tantallon Castle and grew up in Dunbar. I remember visiting family in North Berwick and Dunbar back in the 1970’s and playing on the castles. My great uncle Tom used to man the old entrance booth at Tantallon, back in the day ( basically an old garden shed) and would let us in for free.

Top travel entertainment Scott! Amazing you did 6 so quickly, and was really glad you took time to explore Tantallon castle, and would rather see that than a rushed trip to Tayside. Another idea is to visit places where famous paintings were first done. 😊

Loved the challenge! You did so well to get Edinburgh Castle, the war memorial statue and the Scott Memorial and then back to Waverley in 40 minutes! I visited Edinburgh in July for the first time and I know that is a real hike. (I live in flat Florida so Edinburgh was a challenge for me but I loved it.)
@DSTWizz Жыл бұрын
Scott, you're a real trouper! A great idea too, but you don't half cut things fine! You're a brave man tackling Edinburgh tourist sights, even after the Festival has finished. Loved seeing North Berwick Law in the background of your shots too. My daughter and son-in-law climbed up it the other weekend, and the views from the top are spectacular. If you make a return visit to Tantallon, try to fit in the climb. You're obviously fit enough! Thanks for taking us on your trip - it was fun.

Great idea. I had an old book from the 1930s with photos of historical monuments in and managed to take a picture of Fountains abbey in Yorkshire from the same spot as the one in the book about 80 years later.

Loved the video. Definitely not a fail. I would love to see more like this, perhaps you could challenge Steve one day to do 5 or 6 cards each. Back in the 1970s I had a trip to Bass Rock and landed on it. The rules must have been different then, but it was an official RSPB trip. It’s covered in Gannets, but the white colour of the rock is not just the Gannets, but their output! You need a clothes peg for your nose and good boots ! The Northern Gannet has the scientific name Sula bassana because of its close association with the Bass Rock.

Thanks again!

Superb video Scott. Six out of seven is way better than most people could manage in that challenge and to be honest as a gentleman of similar age I'm confident in saying that unfortunately the majority the younger generations today are simply not up to such challenges ! The proof to that is the fact you decided to "Yomp" rather than opt for the easy option of calling an "UBER". More power to your elbow Sir. Looking forward to the next video. 👌👍👍.
