@@1o726eggsia LOL! Like you, I am just a big fan. I don't do social media but I've felt very strongly, from the beginning, that I wanted to help spread the word about these boys. So,in addition to supporting them on Patreon, I dedicated myself to getting them better known through KZbin reaction channels. At first, probably about 5 years ago, I started recommending the band in the comments section of every reaction video I could (within reason - I didn't want to attract any annoyance or hate). I even paid for suggested songs sometimes. Then, if a channel did look at a Bloodywood song, I made sure to maximize my contact through the comments with robust dialog and safe links. And I've been doing it ever since. Truthfully, I'm a bit sluggish in my response times as of late, but that's partly because I feel my job might be done. The boys are doing great right now and I'm over the moon about it. I'm not sure how much impact I've had on helping nudge them towards success, but if I even helped a miniscule amount, I'd be quite proud. 🤘

To give some more context. You got part of it right on during the discussion towards the end, but there's more to it. Delhi is the capital of India, and New Delhi is basically the capital city (there's Old Delhi too, much more directly related to the history), where I and pretty much all of the band members are from, so the Nu Delhi pun works on that level as well. The city is very diverse with its population, cultural influences, food (street food a big staple), just the overall fun and vibes, and the stuff you covered as well. Pretty similar to the diversity here in Canada (minus all the hate mongering) and I guess being in Toronto might have exposed you to some part of it as well. The city is also notoriously associated with some heinous labels, which let's just say were well alluded to in their song Dana Dan. But yeah, they basically captured the essence of the city perfectly with the song (the good, the awesome, the bad, the worst, the daily life), and lyrics were spot on. I mentioned it previously as well, that it has strong influences of some 2000s Hollywood, and Jayant (the vocalist) being from that Delhi/Punjabi background has a solid mesh of Hindi/Punjabi tones and lyricism. And for a change, unlike all of their stuff on Rakshak, this one didn't really have a social theme per se. Looking forward to more Bloodywood though, and hoping they stop by Toronto for their first Canadian show soon. They blew up right when I moved here, so really need to see em live now.

You hit the nail on the head with a lot of my feelings about this too. I love the sound of a more 'traditional' 'cultural' music being meshed so well with Metal. In the past we've had the likes of Sepultura and Soulfly bring a sort of samba feel, Babymetal with the J-Pop, Ill Nino and I'm sure others with the latin flair - this just feels like a further addition to showing just how well it can work and just how metal is appreciated across all cultures and continents.

Delhi (Dilli) is a city that is also an Union Territory and a state (or half state half Union Territory). New Delhi (Nayi Dilli) City inside the Delhi City/UT/State is the capital of India. Also called National Capital Territory. It is politically complicated to understand in one tag.

well yeah lyrics basically implicates thats its tough to live in delhi but still alot of good people (saints) and bad people (sinners) live together and how you cant diffrentiate between them so you need to take every step carefully (like you do in chess) amd you need to be a humble person because its (delhi) a tigers den but also he first rap part of song conveys that no matter how good or bad delhi is its a hustlers ground (new delhi is a state of mind). yeah i guess this sums up whole song.
