No, he didn't replace the dog! That was a different man with a different dog... showing how we might each be at different stages along that path.

Hey guys. Bloodywood has a very, very special place in my heart, because I truly believe that without them, I would not be here to write what I am this day. I suffer from insomnia, and particularly, chronic depression. I have thought about, and planned in the past, my own death. A couple of years ago, I was having a particularly bad day, for no reason I could think of, and my depression nearly beat me that day. But it didn't, because of Bloodywood. I was online that day, and I believe that divine intervention led me to find them, and their song "Jee Veerey." I don't know if you've reacted to it, but it is about overcoming mental illness, depression, and suicide. That song saved my life, and for at least two hours, I bawled my eyes out, listening to their message. Fast-forward to 18 months ago. In May of 2020, I lost my grandmother, a woman who I was not related to by blood. Yet, when I was a kid, she accepted me for who I was. The day we buried her, I lost my aunt on my sperm donor's side of my family (long story, but the gist is, my biological sperm donor has never been either a dad or a father to me). I had met her and her husband only one time, finding them only after I had used online tools to find them -- and they, too, accepted me. Needless to say, the day I got that phone call, I spent over four hours letting my grief...go. And it was only possible because of Yaad, and because of Meadows of Heaven by Nightwish (which, as an Annette-era song, fit her vocal style really well). Yaad has been a very, very cathartic song for me, giving me peace where I might be angry or depressed. When people try to tell me that metal is merely noise, or some other stupid stereotype, I shake my head and walk away from them -- because they will never understand the raw, unfiltered pain and emotion that heavy metal writers, bands, and artists put into their music. And of all the bands I know and have heard, Bloodywood is one of the best bands I've ever heard. Thanks for listening.

YES! YES! YES!! I am so excited you came back to Bloodywood! They are working on a new album, so keep your eyes peeled for new material from the guys. The guys from Bloodywood all got sick, but they are OK now. During their illness, they were still organizing and fundraising to get oxygen tanks for people in need. And Karan was even taking his sick, pregnant sister to the hospital while he, too, was sick. Thankfully, they are OK, and Karan is a proud new uncle. 😁

not gonna lie, despite having not full-on cried in several years, the song still made my breath hitch a little, from time to time. my grandma died from cancer, relatively recently, and despite my best efforts, the family keeps drifting apart and going at each other's throats. had a dog die on me because someone fed her antifreeze, my uncle died before i could even meet him, one of my grandfathers who i was especially close to died when i was about 14 and i wasn't informed until two and a half years later, and it snowballs from there. anyways, the point i'm trying to make is treasure the small things. nothing is trivial, when it comes to the ones you genuinely care for. sorry, just feeling a lot of things, lately.

That feels a lot like my family. Some people don’t deal with death well and are so drunk on their own sense of importance and power in the world that the concept of feeling powerless over something (like the death of a loved one) is such an alien concept to them that, instead of dealing with it like a normal human being, it MUST be that someone else fucked up, and that it’s their fault, and that they killed grandma. Because they made them wait five minutes more in the hospital while they were doing another errand for them. Eight years ago. At least, that’s the level of delusional stupid that the family narcissist (an aunt) that took control of my grandma’s estate is living on the belief of and trying to convince anyone who would listen to her. Spoilers: everyone in the family now fucking hates her and is done with her shit and she’s been ejected from the family. And the only reason why she hates me is because grandma loved me more and she never got her mother’s approval. And I got her mother’s approval unconditionally while living across the country, and she lived 45 mins away and didn’t get shit from her that she didn’t steal.🤣

Bloodywood are so good, And this song went straight to my heart. I have outlived 2 dogs so far and it is so hard when you realize it´s time for them to leave our companionship and go to the next life! Now I have a cat that is 3 years so I hope he lives a long life with me. Loved you reaction to this song and I cried just as much as you. All those feelings just came back and I was not at all prepared for them but at the same time I really needed this! Thanks for a very special reaction and I will follow for more! ❤

He didn't replace his dog 🤣, it's just another owner coming to that exact same spot with his dog as the guy that this music video focuses on gets up to go back home. The guy is sad after losing his dog, so he came back there to relive old memories, but the other guy coming there symbolises that his not the only one who is gonna lose a loved one, that's just a part and parcel of anybody's life.
