The interactions between Bloom and Diaspro are comedic gold in the 4Kids version if you ask me. Do you understand where Bloom was coming from? I sort of did in the original, but not so much here. What about you guys?

Honestly it would've made more sense if Diaspro called Bloom a pixie instead of a loser, since the Trix call the girls that.

3:25 I’ve always notice her hand was shaking in that scene. Totally relatable when you’re calling your crush and try stay nonchalant while on the phone and not try to say something corny and keep the conversation smooth

I will forever maintain that Sky is so crusty. Like, in retrospect, he’s genuinely quite awful. Bloom, and Diaspro honestly, deserve so much better. And his reasoning for doing this in the 4Kids dub makes this deception and, let’s be real, _cheating_ even more ridiculous😭

I disagree, I read his arc as being forced into arranged marriage especially adding info from season 2, the writers just didn't execute it that well.

IDK why some people write "I'm cheating on my fiance because I love the main character" as noble or romantic; it makes Sky look awful--even when he has cared for both of them. In one of the comic issues, he cares for Diaspro when she pretends to be sick (though Brandon sees throufh this), and she feels so bad that she pretends to recover. Then the infamous comic where she gives Sky up, sees Bloom kiss Sky, and then realizes she's not as over him as she thought (it's like Courtney and Gwen in TDAS).

The amount of times the Witches tormented the Winx, especially Bloom, i cant blame Bloom for thinking Diaspro is Icy. Even after seeing Darcy moonlighting as Stella all those episodes ago. But the lack of communication on Sky's end after the Cloud Tower incident, i can see Bloom's emotions being on high with, again, Sky making it worse. Also, don't forget the whole Riven situation. Yeah, it was on Darcy, but at this point Bloom and us, don't fully know what the Witches can do. Diaspro, for all we know, could have been Icy coming in to get at Sky to get to her. Am I stretching, sure, but in the context of it all, it can make some sense. Edit cuz i gotta know: What is your opinion on the difference between how they stole Bloom's magic? Rai: "VaaaaaaaaaCuuuuuuuuuum" 4Kidz: "Crystals of Wisperia. Dark magic from our kin. Reach inside this girl and steal her powers from within."

I literally was part of the discussion about episode 17 on reddit today and someone pointed out that in 4kids timeline, Bloom could use the same spell on Diaspro she used for Lucy in Miss Magix and yeah I can see it, of course she couldn't but interesting how the translators an re-writers shot themselves in the foot on that one or however you say it in english.

It's bad enough that the specialists don't really get much characterization outside of being love interests, but they really made Sky look terrible. If 4kids changed anything, they could've made Diaspro a childhood friend of Sky who is being CONSIDERED to be his fiance.

This episode and the diaspro episodes of season 2 and 3 really make me have a bit of face palm when it comes to Sky. Seriously dude learn to communicate and actually talk to both diaspro and bloom honesty wouldve helped a lot here.

I agree though it did seem a bit harsh faragonda punishing the girls for ruining the day of the royals was a surprisingly realistic outcome even though it didn't happen in the other dubs I don't know why she punished all the girls when Bloom was the only one who did all the things She commanded them for when all the other girls did was sneak in without an invitation which was the only thing she didn't bring up in her scolding I guess she figured because the whole magic thing was new to bloom her friends are just as much responsible for letting their naive newcomer friend roam free which led to the event being ruined. Also I hadn't considered that point you brought up that riven and sky had a part to play in ruining the event with their dragons and Bloom just showed up at the climax another reason why I find it unfair bloom gets all the blame for this
