From what I understand, the change with Mike and Vanessa knowing Bloom had magic all along kinda meshes with the earlier episodes and Bloom's breakdown: Mike is in denial and probably shut it out until Stella came back, and he and Vanessa discussed it while Bloom was gone. From this POV, it makes sense for Bloom to feel like her parents were trying to change her or take away a part of who she was. Plus I do apprecaite that even after the whole witch prejudice, Sky tries to comfort Bloom, even if she rejects him and says she needs to be alone. I do think the witch stereotypes deserved to be in the original, given that it makes a lot of sense.

I personally was okay with the change to Bloom knowing she was adopted because you should NEVER keep that a secret If you adopt a child you tell them they're adopted from the beginning. Usually if you don't tell your adopted child until they're older(like Bloom) it blows up the relationship. It's kind of unrealistic that in the original Bloom's relationship with her parents didn't seem to be effected at all.

I'm sure there are people out there who don't mind being adopted and are still grateful to their adopted parents for all the love and care they gave them. Getting upset at being adopted is kinda weird, you're upset that your biological parents who didn't want you didn't raise you and a kind couple decided to do it instead? That's kinda??? Idk??? Weird??? Ofcourse in Bloom's case her biological parents were dead, but I think it's nice and sweet that she still loved and was grateful to her adopted parents and she still appreciated their effort in raising her. And I love how in the second movie and in season 5 we see the two sets of parents interacting and bonding over their love of their daughter, and the adopted parents show tapes and pictures of baby bloom/kid bloom to her biological parents so they can catch up with what they missed on. I'd take this over her not being close with her adopted parents and preferring her biological parents just because their her "biological parents" for lack of a better phrase. But that's just me. I grew up in a big family with a step mom and half siblings and with my biological mom so I see my situation (sort of) with Bloom's big family and I love it and think it's wholesome.
