You should press your fabric, lift iron straight up and down. Don't iron, sliding iron side to side. That is what distorts the hst's. Love your tutorial! I just came across your videos. I like to spin my seams. I have a brain block on trying to press my seams open. 😆 Maybe one day on a small quilt, I will press my seams open.

Thanks for the tip! I’m going to give that a try. I guess I’m just an aggressive ironer. Haha! Spinning the seams is a great way too! It’s funny how everyone has their go to ways for ironing.

I love your style and I've just subscribed, hi! Very cute block and yes March of 2020 feels like a lifetime away, thank goodness that year ended. As for sashing, I think the busy backgroumd as sashing would look great, or even a colour.

@@KateHicksQuilts I purchase 3 yards of fabric from you. The flowers and a green color. Don't remember the names but it's beautiful. I saw the video of you and your son in unboxing new fabrics and found 2 I couldn't live without. It will be bright, I'm not a dull person. I make quilts for grandchildren and nursing home people. Mine are not for sale. I do sell bags though. I love to use denim and bright colors.
