Oh wow 😲 what an amazing display 👏 😍. You must spend all day in those greenhouses 😃 I can only grow as cool as Miltoniopsis in the sunroom and the Odontoglossum have to fit in the lobby but I would love to be able to grow those Masdevallias. The colours are stunning and you have so many blooms and buds. Have a great day on Saturday, hope it goes well 😊

Yes Carole I spend a fair bit of time in there for sure although during summer once it gets to Noon you cannot stay in theirs it is awful. Much too crowded now as well. 🙀

All looking good Lynn, I’ve also put shading on this week because of rising temperatures, good luck at the show.

Thanks Mick, weather is certainly crazy right now, but holding off with the aluminium shading for now but I think it will be up by the end of March for sure.

I never have good results with herrarudae but have one still alive currently. For others I know it grows like a weed.

What a stunning display! May I ask what type of sphagnum moss you use and how often do you repot then?
@lynnsmith93972 жыл бұрын
Thank you Justin, I have always used the Besgrow moss bit Roger managed to get some of the Welsh Moss and gave some of it to me to try as well. Have to say what I have used it on so far is proving to be very good. The orchids with the finer roots though do not work very well but the ones with larger, stronger roots are loving it. If the live moss carries on as it has been doing the necessity to re-moss should not be necessary really, but only time will tell with that one.

Do you have any care tips for Masd. pinnocchio?
@lynnsmith93972 жыл бұрын
Hi Carmella, it is not one I have come across or ever seen for sale, but I gather it is a miniature and will grow anywhere from cool - warm conditions.
