Actually, the bloons likely don't just move to some random offscreen destination. In a BTD5 special mission, you lose lives when the bloons reach a village in the middle of the screen, not when the bloons disappear off screen. Also, the intro to bloons pop shows the bloons attaching their strings to monkey village buildings and taking them away. Connect the two -- when a bloon leaks and you lose lives, it means that the bloon reached monkey village and abducted a house. There is a possibility that a green bloon taking away 3 lives literally means that 3 monkeys in monkey city were killed

In Bloons TD 5, there'ss a mission where lives are lost when the bloons reach a village in the center. This means when a green bloon takes away 3 lives, this literally means that 3 monkeys in the monkey city were killed. My theory is that at the end of the track, there is a gatehouse. and In Impoppable and CHIMPS modes, there is no gatehous.e Losing lives means the gatehouse gets damaged. When you gain lives, the gatehouse is repaired. If the bloons breach the gatehouse, they flood the monkey city on the other side. An explanation for Ezili is that Ezili uses wood from the gatehouse. So, if a bloon gets past, it will attack the city and most likely kill civilians. This basically means: the BAD is a genocider
