It's not even just those two qualities, but also how very at ease he always was with being the center of such a big, hit show. Comfortable with the attention. There's plenty of people with great charisma and wit that are just too shy for such a spotlight.
@yabbaguy10 ай бұрын
The one thing is this is entirely Bob forgetting the rehearsal, even though his cult-like charisma makes one think otherwise. It's "horn or silence" on the first try, "ding or buzzer" on the second, and once the first digit was right, the rest had to be right logically since that's the one she kept. Bob got it right the rest of the way though.

It's interesting you point that out, because (all the silly shenanigans of this episode aside) to get 3 wrong when it's pretty clear you have the 1st digit correct, you'll kinda automatically win. It's actually worse if you only have 1 wrong, because you won't know which it is. I suppose that means the very best to get (aside from all correct) is all 4 wrong, you automatically win. Me too! Except it was 11 here in Eastern time. I remember my college roommate back in 2001-2002 had a break in his classes around that time and would watch it every day. Made me jealous because I always had classes that overlapped at that time. But at least I got done with class earlier :-). Man those were the days. My life was much simpler then, all my grandparents except for one were still alive and it was just a great time. My first years out of college were really great too! As time goes on I see that life is still good and you can still have plenty of fun, but you start to understand the concept of mortality, something that you don’t usually think about when you are in your late teens through your mid 30’s. When you make it to 40 you start to see just how incredibly fast our lives go by. It’s kind of scary at how fast time does go by as an adult. At 40 most people are at or approaching (or have already passed) the halfway point of life. Once I turned 40 for some reason that thought popped in my head. Oh well, nothing to do but live with it and understand that that’s how life works! Go about your business and don’t worry about it. Easy to say I know.

The suspense was over for most people once she was told she had only 1 number right. There was no doubt whatsoever that the one she had right was the 7.

Fun fact: My 6th grade teacher, Kimberly Kiepe, was on the PiR. We got to see her on the show that fall. We got to watch it during its daily timeslot, as there was no VCR or anything of that nature at that time.

It was probably after this they figured out how they wanted to play this properly. The horns would be used to indicate how many numbers they had right initially then after they change what the ones they want, Bob would just have them start revealing the correct price one number at a time without any horns

I'm pretty sure that's how this was supposed to work. That's why they started revealing the answer while Bob was trying to get them to play the horns for some strange reason.

This is why Bob was such a legend. He was always present and in the moment. Drew seems like hes only there to get to the end of the show and collect a paycheck. Also as soon as the 7 was visible, we knew she won.

Wait, was this the first time they played this game? I don't think it was, but because Bob messed up, thanks to drunk Edith 😂 the stage hand behind the game was sliding the numbers early. These bloopers used to make the best shows!🤣💲

Lmfao the way the price was being revealed before he even asked the questions 😂😂😂😂😂 then at the end they covered it back for a second 😂 I wish game shows still had these little mishaps
