As for the hotel choice, you may try several Chinese local chain brand, cause they're higher cost effective. Such as 'QuanJi', 'Atour','LiFeng','Orange hotel', etc. Especially in the first tier cities, these domestic train hotel brand usually won't be bad and not that high-cost😂

The price of accommodation all depends on the real estate value. Unfortunately Beijing is one of the most expensive city in China if not the world. Also you chose to stay at the most expensive area in Beijing - Wangjing. Average unit price for an apartment is 11000rmb or 15000usd per square meter. Since Beijing has extremely convenient subway system and safety is ensured everywhere, I would recommend anyone coming to Beijing stay close to a subway station but away from city center like the south part or east part of Beijing.
