Good video, for someone that’s never pulled a motor or someone that’s pulled many. You broke it down really well. Thanks

Make sure you have the "upgraded" fuel rail bolts to put back in...mine sheared off in the cylinder. Also, it's a good idea to replace the thermostat and, injectors. I had rebuilt my '17 and, not long after an injector went out and cold siezed a cylinder...ended up having to rebuild it twice...replacing the injectors are alot cheaper at about $90 each. Also, great time to inspect the reeds and, replace them if needed.

Good advice thanks! I have a spare set of reeds ready to go and a set of injectors as well. Will definitely check out the fuel rail bolt situation as well.

@@themediocregarage Right on...the bolts had a recall "inspection" from Polaris...mine where fine at the time of inspection but, then later sheared off in the cylinder...good to replace them with the new "upgraded" ones. Also, don't forget to replace the thermostat...cheap insurance to make sure it's running at the right temperature.

Man, my fuel rail bolts just sheared off on my ‘17 too. Were you able to drill the old bolts out without taking off your air box? It’s pretty tight in there.

About drilling the bolts out...I ended up taking it to my Polaris dealer and, even though my sled didn't have a warranty at the time Polaris ended up warranting it due to a previous so called recall inspection of the bolts the dealer had done previously. I ended up getting a new cylinder from Polaris at no cost. I had 2,400 miles on the sled at the time so, I paid the shop to do a top end rebuild at the time. I'd definitely check into seeing if your bolts had been inspected or, replaced by the dealer previously because, if they were Polaris should warranty it.

You can take the cover of the exhaust valves - much easier to remove / reinstall
