I'm in the US and I haven't seen that type of fence before. I like the idea of a concrete post and masonry bottom fence course, the two areas that quickly fail from water damage / rot. That type of design makes a lot of sense to me.

@@SteveAndAlexBuild im landscaper/fencer by trade when i take out concrete posts i add 2 postcrete then fill the rest with a concrete mix to top up, i understand on the smaller jobs like this one but over a long run its just easier... keep up the good work, a tip for you if you get fence post repairs get a post saver sleeve adds even longer on the post and stop it from rotting at ground level :)

...So why remove a concrete post to replace it with a wooden post...?... Tip: I use Everbuild liquid waterproofer on concrete posts, and give then a good soak in it before putting them up...it keeps the water out and stops the reinforcing rusting, and consequently the concrete blowing out where rust starts, and the water just beads off the posts and they stay clean too, as keeps all the dirt from getting into the surface and accumulating on the posts...
@SteveAndAlexBuild3 жыл бұрын
Nice tip . As for the post there are some heavy timber gates going in so the post is better for fixing to and is also 150 x 150 mm so way stronger than the flimsy concrete posts 💪🏼🧱👍🏽

Let’s be honest fencing isn’t rocket science . I’m sure with your experience you have all the knowledge and the tools . If the end result was a mess or wrong then your comment is fine but the end result was a good solid fence and our customer was made up . We may not be experts but we enjoy fencing so won’t be stopping any time soon . We even have 2 more fencing videos coming out soon . Thanks for your comment though 🧱👍🏽
