Sometimes there is only one way to do things, and that is the best way.....not necessarily the cheapest way, but for longevity you have fork out the $$. What about a dry sump set up.....surelya lot less that that billet thing for 5k..... Always loved this car, now even more......good stuff......

The only dry sump option I've seen was US$6K unfortunately, then the pump itself and tank etc. Thanks bud 🤙

IFS is the way to go , I’ve put a big block ford into my XP FAIRMONT and you do need more room 👍🏻🫠

Competition engines have a power assist steering kit .it's like a wiper motor bolted to the column under the dash and nothing in the engine bay. My escort has one off a Holden Barina and it's a power assist and if it dies you can still steer it not like the Astra units,

Hiya Phil Im looking at doing a similar connversion on a Landau, But im loosing sleep about losing the shock towers and its originality , are you in knowledge of anyone thats done the conversion without Loosing the towers

I know that feeling all too well! Check out Phatrides Garage on here, he's done it in an xb coupe with a 2016 mustang firewall and floor. He's removed his towers, but check out what he's done in their place, that may give you some ideas 🤙

Haha he's got one, I think the scanner may require more than a laptops capabilities? I'll ask when I see him next

That chassis number, could you cut around it and bend it down flat then shape the inner guard to it and weld it up?

It would be doable but I think it would end up a bit messy. There's a few sections welded together there, and the number isn't on the main section if that makes sense

There has to be someone local that can make something like the IPP oil pan, pump and cover. Whatever the price is American it can be doubled by the time it gets here.

There's certainly the capability to do it in Aus, I think if there was a big call for it here someone would put the time into it
