I just wish I could take her for a longer ride out..... she drives really nice and it really is quite a buzz!

It drives spot on and at 40 mph was minimal throttle so will probably see 50.... it's legal limit on A roads... but the rate of petrol usage will make your V6 look like it's economical!

Has to be said I have really enjoyed having this little gem in the workshop.... due to the amount of work I have done I have got to know the old girl quite well... I would love to own one.

Does the recent change of petrol affect them?

It certainly isn't ideal.... Any petrol with ethanol content is bad for the older fuel systems, over the years I have noticed a new type of corrosion in carbs that have been left with E5 petrol left in them and then 'dried out' , I have seen how rubber turns to mush and diaphrams dry out and break up. The problems are very much the same when running an engine on methanol, I think the best way to combat the problem is to build a fuel system that is suitable for methanol use... however this would mean non standard materials being used.
