I found your channel a month ago. Within a few weeks my hair has improved about 70% (maybe it would be 100% but I'm finishing the shampoo and conditioner I have before purchasing your recommendation). I'm 60 and I used a ton of products previous to this just to get my hair to look fairly OK. Now I wash my hair twice a week and only use your trifecta and oil in the morning: no mousse, no texturizer, no spray. It looks longer and is more swingy and bouncy. Thanks!

One of your secret ingredients for popularity is you say things like, “it’s hard enough to …”. You sympathize, understand, and don’t talk to us like we’re idiots when advertisers constantly lie or leave out necessary instructions. You don’t lower eye lid, raise an eyebrow, look down on us, and have that bored superior voice we’ve all met in the salon chair. You’re an educator, human, even admit your own bloopers and willing to repeat information for those of us that missed a video or, like me needs a repeat before the lights come on. How refreshing! I’m getting results and I thank you.

This is definitely why I like his videos. I hate going to the salon because every time it feels like the hairdresser is roasting me instead of giving tips trying to help me. That's why I haven't been to a salon since 2010. Also the last hairdresser botched my hair when I was going through a very bad time in my life, so I'm not sure if I'll ever get over it.

In a different video about washing hairbrushes he tells a super long story that is basically that a client hadn’t ever washed her brush and that’s what was making her hair greasy when she did it at home and instead of acting like she’s gross for that he said he was bummed because he realized HE had failed to teach her that she needed to do that, so he goes out of his way to be sympathetic and understanding with us!

However I decided to go for it and switch to Redken. I liked it but wasn’t blown away. So I added your recommendation of Redken volume heat protection and the thermal spray. howdy! im honestly just commenting my experience bc chris has created a safe community fr. i found chris less than a week ago, and my hair has already changed it’s life. the first time i ever watched his videos, i learned about the trinity wash, and i IMMEDIATELY jumped in the shower after going to walmart to get a shea moisture hair mask, and garnier oil and a leave in conditioner (since i was only using shampoo and conditioner at the time). with lower end products/drugstore brands, my hair had still never felt better or cleaner. i was able to go almost an entire week without washing my fine hair! i decided that next payday i’d go ahead and buy some olaplex, a hair mask, and the trinity box for fine hair. i really think i’ve met some of my hair care soulmates! olaplex 3 was a lifesaver for my hair, along with the moroccanoil hydrating mask!

OMG it actually does matter! I wish I knew this years ago as I have spent years putting my hear in a bun or pony tail out of pure frustration. Anyway I followed ur direction and my hair looks and feels AMAZING!!!! I went out last night - even danced and it did not frizz - I woke up and it still looks great. In response to why that young woman warned me about the thermal spray: It was because she didn’t have a clue how to use it. She said it makes your hair hard and sticky, well, just like this guy said in the video, yes, it will do that - if you spray a ton of it too close to your hair! Spray it 6 inches or so from your hair. She admitted to not wanting to read the product labels, too, and was not a hair dresser or any sort of expert. I never had clip-ins, so I have no advice on that, but maybe this guy does. However, with those, I’d be concerned about causing stress on the hair follicles. I realize sometimes people use them to have the appearance of thicker hair, but I would be concerned about the long-term risks over short-term gain. Sometimes cut, styling and product options are a better way to go. If they are for lengthening your hair, remember that the grass is always greener. Lol. Again, cut, style and product can help you while you grow it out, and even make it more fun, to enjoy what you have, etc.

He saved my life on explaining how to use thermal heat protectant correctly because I was one of those girls who tried it (the wrong way) and I hated the way it made my hair feel. I straighten it a lot and without heat protectant for a long while. I'm so happy he explained it because it kept my hair straight for 5 days and really helped get me to 5-7 days in between washing and styling. A great tip I've also gotten was to remove all excess water before applying conditioner.

I'm actually allergic to parabens. I was so itchy and rashy. Took an allergy patch test, and it was just parabens. It's really common to be a sensitive ingredient. The derm explained that some people develop allergies to sensitive ingredients over time with excessive use. Thankfully most products don't use parabens anymore. But I'm more careful about ingredients now since my skin is sensitive and I'd like to avoid developing more allergies. Pretty common issue too.

In one comment he says just rinse and use conditioner, and in his videos he recommends dry shampoo when you start to get oily and to help you out between washes. So I think it's depends on your judgement on what your hair needs after working out. Lightly damp and sweaty dry shampoo, sweat soaked and grass in it then rinse and conditioner. Would be my guess.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I have never found a shampoo that impressed me, but it’s a month that I’m using the Redken volume shampoo in combination with Redken blondate high bright, as I have a blonde balayage, and my hair look and feel amazing. They are silky, voluminous, bouncy, shiny and they hold the blow out so well even 3/4 days after the wash. Honestly the extra investment is totally worth it, especially because I need to use much less product then before. Also I wasn’t using a heat protector because I use my flat iron just once a week but, since I’m using it , my hair are getting longer more quickly and they feel stronger for real. You really changed my hair routine and I’m so glad for it ♥️

I’ve been doing hair for years and there’s one question that im still not sure about. If you’re someone who blow drys and curls or flat irons, do you need to use heat protectant twice? So like a cream heat protectant before blow drying and then a spray thermal protectant before curling/flat ironing?

I found your channel today and have already watched so many videos of yours!! You are truly doing a great job and I really enjoy your videos!! However, I have a question concerning shampoos: Since you are always explaining, that everyone‘s hair needs a different shampoo / hair products (which totally makes sense to me) I wanted to ask, what - if you have one - your opinion on „function of beauty“ is? It sounds almost too good to be true, that you only have to do the hair quiz and get a shampoo / conditioner which matches your own needs perfectly. Not to get me wrong, it would be absolutely great and I‘d love to try it, but I‘ve spent soooo much money on hair things in my life that I maybe try to listen to other‘s experiences first :D

Hello! I've been on my journey to improve the health of my hair for about a couple years now, and yet I've never had it worse. Since I started taking care of it a bit more (trying not to wash it every day, using better quality products and heeding the tips I've seen on this channel) I have completely dry and dead hair, split ends and I really don't know what to do. My hair is blonde, fine and straight. It can barely stay clean for 24 hours. So I took your test and bought Redken's cleansing cream to wash it, redken's volume injection conditioner for the conditioner, the leave-in conditioner with temperature protector to dry my hair and the big blowout gel. I have also been doing the 'kungfu' to wash my hair. I have also been 'making an effort' to wash it much less (let three days pass between washes, even if it is very dirty from the day after washing) and it's worst than ever. Honestly, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've followed all the advice, spent a lot of money on expensive products and honestly, I have it worse than ever. I don't know what to do. After I started using the redken clarifying shampoo I thought maybe it was drying my hair too much (although it's still oily) so on the second wash I started using olaplex shampoo thinking about its ability to repair (I had leftovers from when I 'started my hair care journey', but in one of your videos I saw that you said olaplex could weigh my hair down and I stopped using it. The thing is, even with that I haven't noticed any difference. I'm beginning to suspect that the 'professional brands' are just as ineffective as the supermarket ones, but 10 times more expensive. Or maybe there's something I'm missing. If anyone can give me a hand, please. thanks!

I will go on and try the Redken professional shampoos. I've got an oily scalp and I've tried everything, but still find myself having to wash every single day (live in a humid area, naturally oily skin, workout 5 days a week). If the pro shampoo doesn't make a difference, I'll consider just shaving it all off 😂

Hey Chris, I only get frizzy hair on the crown of my head and the rest of it is very nice following your routine. The frizzy part is also prone to breakage. What should I use to tame it? Would Olaplex 3 work in my virgin hair?
@evettc7887
@evettc7887 Жыл бұрын
He recommends Oplex 3 for all hair type. He has a few videos on it. But basically everyone has damaged hair to some point(sun,hard water, pollution, ponytails...) nobody has perfectly healthy hair. So by using Oplex 3 one a week or month depending on your needs/goals it helps repair the bonds in your hair and help its overall health and with healthy hair all the hydrating products your using can perform at their best and healthy hair just looks better. Now from my understanding your hair does need to be damp to use it, but many recommend washing it first just with shampoo or a clarification shampoo to remove all the products and grim from your hair so it can get direct access to the hair, then towel dry it so it's just damp and then put on Oplex 3 or K18 also seems well liked by many for the same purpose wait 5-15 mins longer is fine but won't necessarily do anything. Then you can go ahead wash it out and go about the rest of your hair routine.

Can you touch on coarse hair? I find that a pea sized amount of product never cuts it. In fact, I don’t use a blow dry cream, I use a dime sized amount of serum with silicones to tame my frizz when I blow dry my hair. The rest of the trinity routine works great, and using oil has done wonders for my hair, but I feel like you need to show more love to coarse hair. We have a much harder time controlling our hair.
