What a weird axe what was the long metal rod for originally? Was it an adjusted axe head or a fold away design. Either way it looks like it was a DIY piece. Just oddly cobbled together. You did a great job with what you are working with. Tools and product. Keep it up guy!

Это не реставрация, а частичная переделка топорика, он зачем-то обрезал и заварил обух, который на таком топорике усилен, чтобы по нему можно было бить колотушкой или молотком, вместо оригинального дерева сделал рукоять из какой-то уродской фигни и убрал шайбу с рукояти. У меня такой топор в багажнике лежит в идеальном состоянии и выглядит в разы лучше чем то, что я вижу конечным результатом в этом ролике.

It looks ok The fit and finish wasn't all that great Plus I didn't like the handle but that just me. I liked the restoration on the axe Enjoyed the video and I gave it a Thumbs Up

yeah... the choice of materials for the handle was .....not good. hell, could've used a pine 2x4 and made it look nicer. I'm spoiled though. MyMechanics for restorations is pinnacle.

It looks more like a fiberglass epoxy mix than a glue. Interesting nonetheless.

It's MDF board; medium density fiber board. It's somewhere between fancy cardboard and fancy plywood.

Ты, как мне кажется, прав. У меня дома есть похожий маленький топорик (раза в два меньше этого), и мы используем его для разделки мяса. Он хорошо помогает при работе с костями, к нему мало что прилипает, а куски не разлетаются в разные стороны.

Такое ощущение что обух у топора раньше был другой формы так как очень сильно замят, и я бы для себя "срисовал" детали , чтобы в дальнейшем сделать из нормального металла копию этого топорика.

The edge would last longer if you re quinch it. None the less still functional

Not a fan of paint -on bluing. Heat that bad boy and quench in in oil. Open the pores so the oil can get inside.
