Thank you for reviewing the record, Billy Woods and Blu are my favorite rappers at the moment and both are really small so they could benefit from the coverage. Even though Suga and Buttaz is my least favorite track, Rae Khalil is a new (to me) artist and granted I've been meaning to check out her discography, she has been killing it from the little I've heard. She has a song Carpinteria with Freddie Gibbs and did two stellar features on Why Lawd by NxWorries: Out the Way and Walk on By. I think the last 4 songs are my favorites, Love is Blue I wasn't crazy about at first but stylistically I grew to like the progressive way it builds up and fits so well as a closer. My main complaint with the album is that imo it doesn't thematically tie the concept into the rest of the 8 tracks (arguably they serve as things to Love about the world though) but it's still a phenomenal album. Valley of Kings specifically reminds me of Below the Heavens, especially because Blu's voice in the outro sounds younger. I believe it was a freestyle possibly for XXL. Perhaps I have too high expectations for the concept of the album though, I feel like trying to be optimistic in a draining and nihilistic world is a common struggle yet in my experience isn't discussed very much. In any event, I'm feeling between an 8-9 on this, the performances are still stellar and the features are solid and do a great job of keeping the theme of the track in their verses. I love Ex's approach to combining elements of East and West coast production. You mentioned Fashawn's feature in the beginning, (if you haven't already heard them) his singing is AMAZING on Requiem of Blue and he has a killer verse on Boyz N The Hood (first verse). Glad you enjoyed, thank you again for reviewing.

Still waiting on that Kurrupt solo project on death row. Hopefully we get something a little more lyrically driven like this feat. Dogg pound album was dope too but Kurrupt only really went in on a few verses the rest was a pretty laid back approach.
