Sending much love buddy. Wee Marley is beautiful. I’m sure he’s had a wonderful life and you’ll do right by him. It’s the only downside of pet ownership, the dreaded goodbye. I know you’ve spoken briefly about your health before. The pain sounds horrendous. I have a friend (you maybe remember I used to mention a channel called ‘Two Vloggers More) Chris who deals with a similar situation to you. Chronic pain is a git (putting it mildly). Another nice week of pickups. I enjoyed the new Thor movie and The Black Phone (although I always watch for you, your stories and banter). 🙂

In my original opening to this video I spoke of other KZbinrs and having to run a channel whilst in chronic pain, I actually spoke about you and many more but I felt talking about others without getting permission just wasn’t right so I opened up on my own struggles instead, awe bless you for saying that Lisa, take good care of yourself 👍😀👍

So sorry to hear about your dog and your spine. I know a few people with that same exact degenerative disease, I heard it isn't easy to deal with. I hope your coming weeks are better. I haven't heard of the Railway Children. I will have to look into those. They sound good. I am skipping Thor Love and Thunder myself. I am burnt out at the movement. Maybe if I find it cheap in the future. I picked up Black Phone this month myself. It was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I enjoyed it. Ethan Hawke was great in the movie, so we're the child actors. Hindenburg seems incredibly interesting. I'm going to have to check that out. Thanks for sharing, Alan. A lot of great grabs. Hi Ray, Marley is coping very well with his cancer, his medication really chills him out lol. Don’t worry about me, I have medication, a Tens (which applies electric pulses to the affected areas) and a walking stick…so I’m set haha, yeah Love And Thunder isn’t the best so wait for it to be on sale, good to hear about The Black Phone, looking forward to that one. Hindenburg is a very good disaster film from the 70’s well worth checking out, take care👍😀👍

Sorry to hear about your dog. My chocolate Lab developed cancer. And we nearly lost her with internal bleeding and had her spleen removed. Then had to take her for chemo several times. But had to ask myself if we were doing this for her of for us. As it was just life extension and wouldn’t cure it. Sad times. That was 4 years ago now. Still not got a new dog.

Hi AJ, yeah we are going through a similar situation, as soon as they say, he’s loosing quality of life then we will do the right thing, it’s extremely difficult as we had to do the same last year with our other Pug. Marley will be our last dog, it’s too heartbreaking when they go, sorry to hear about your Labrador, I had one growing up, they are such loyal dogs, cheers mate, take care👍😀👍

Hi Mike, yeah my spine issues tend to play up more in the cold weather, so this and the next season are the painful ones lol, yeah Marley is doing well, considering his condition, 15 is a good age for a pug👍😀👍

So to hear about your health issues Alan. The fact you keep it under wraps, yet continue to go to the trouble of uploading regular videos on this channel is credit to your commitment. Take a break whenever you need to and upload when your able to, look after yourself. Sorry about Marley, but as you say 15-years old is a good age and credit to your family in helping him reach it, which should be some comfort under the circumstances.

Hi Alan, sorry to hear about your pug mate and also hope you feel better soon and respect to you for putting out this video and getting through the movie descriptions which as always are top notch, You've sold me on Blue collar to be honest, always been on the fence about the movie but your description sounds appealing, I went with my partner and daughter to see return of the railway children and I really enjoyed the movie, Thor love and thunder I want to see as It sounds ridiculously intriguing, that thing on the end 😬🤣 cheap old slim blu ray case from Disney I'm sure they are just trying there best to put us all off if buying their physical releases. Black phone I'm definitely going to purchase as I've been looking forward to it for the best part of a year now and yes a slipcover would have finished it off nicely. The Hindenburg steelbook I have and really like and the movie a good one too. Cheers Alan all the best mate take care.

I watched The Railway Children too and thought it was pretty good despite being a child heavy casted film lol, Thor is great in the serious parts and ridiculous in the others, such a strange film, still not sure if I liked it or not, Hindenburg was a first time watch for me, brilliant from start to finish and I loved the editing after the fire, cheers Dan, take care mate👍😀👍

Hi Alan, I wouldn"t of known about your health issues Sir, stay healthy as always ! Sorry to hear about your pet pug damn, hoping he"s comfortable & enjoys life. As expected they are going to milk it being the 60th Anniversary of "Dr No" in a fairly average set, which as a Bond fan one would expect a 4K release to mark the 60th anniversary so to me as its been released on blu ray in many many editions so its a pointless release for me. "The Black phone" is one that has sparked my interest, "Blue collar" is one i"ve tried tracking down the limited edition of, people tend to forget that Richard Pryor did act in some serious roles. That"s a piss poor effort for that new "Thor" movie release, terrible & cheaply made !!!! Glad you picked up "The Black phone" i have seen the trailer of it & one on the wanted list for this month, thanks for the regular blu ray hunt update Alan as always & look after yourself & go easy & stay healthy Sir Alan.

Hi Carlos, I didn’t want to divulge medical issues but I wanted to explain why I was absent in the comments on others video, I was watching but had difficulty looking at the screen to type as my neck was in agony. You would have thought they would have put a 4K in the 007 Steelbook at least. Yeah Richard in Blue Collar was impressive to say the least. Disney are getting more and more cheap with their releases, soon they won’t bother to give you a case at all, just a disc lol, thanks as always Carlos, take care👍😀👍

The big C absolutely sucks! Hope your doggy is feeling comfortable. He's got the best looking after him. In the new Railway children movie the steam train Bahamas makes an appearance. I saw it a few months ago in Buxton. It was called the Buxton Spa express. My dad told me it now has a New name. He said is now called Falklands.

I've heard of that Dr. Seuss movie 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. I'll have to check it out because I do really like Dr. Seuss. You said in the video that you thought it was going to be like Peter Pan. Funnily enough the actor who played Dr. Terwilliker in that movie, Hans Conreid is the same actor who voiced Captain Hook in the Disney Peter Pan movie which came out the same year, 1953. He was also the voice of The Grinch in a tv special called Halloween is Grinch Night.

Hi Anthony, yeah the trouble with the Marvel films since Endgame is, that they have had the big conclusion and now they have to start over with a new story and it seems a bit lost as to the direction they are heading in at the moment…..hopefully they will sort themselves out soon, tack care mate👍😀👍

Hi Alan, I must be the only person who actually likes the slim case’s Disney are using. It is however annoying when the previous films use a bigger width. I wonder why there not doing them on the 4Ks? Some of my films are now going in 6mm cases as it saves me space so I can buy more. 😉Anyway keep well and hope your dog is ok.

Was in Asda earlier saw the Thor bluray, no slipcover so no purchase, that's the last four now in the Marvel franchise I haven't purchased because of no slipcover, I have the first twenty five or so lined up all with slipcovers, since Black Widow no slipcovers, so that's me done with them, as you said Disney all about the money now, so I've saved sixty pounds from not buying the last four now.

The black phone I highly recommend that movie it was not what I was expecting I love supernatural paranormal movies and that was a Brilliantly made movie although Ethan Hawke was not really in much of it and you didn’t see his face the kids should I got top billing.

I've never bought anime on Bluray as its always so expensive, I don't get how they can charge so much when their distributors are based in the uk, I just stick to watching it on streaming

Auyup Alan I haven’t watched Love and thunder yet, I guess I just haven’t had the desire too (yet). One day, I will pick up the Japanese 4K releases of phase 4, these recent MCU outings really haven’t been great overall, at least in my opinion. Question time; if Avatar 2 got a 3D physical release in 4K (2160p/UHD) would it be enough for you to start getting 4K movies, providing there was 3D option and providing we get the resurgence I am at least hoping for with Avatar 2? The last physical media releases I bought were the basic instinct 4K, collectors set, two copies of the motion picture collectors set on 4K and (as they were on sale), the remastered versions of the middle earth collection (theatrical and extended). In addition, I’ve just been chipping away at some home improvements, just some little things like, I’m progressing nicely so that’s something. Anyway, Alan, I hope you and yours are okay like and big cuddles from me 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Hi Eva, I think a lot of people are just not bothered by the latest Marvel film at the moment, there doesn’t really seem like there’s any coherent story arc happening across the universe…. Ooh good question, I would probably decline the 4K 3D route, as much as I love 3D, the 4K 3D would probably decline as well over time, shame I know as I do like a 3D movie. Nice pick ups, glad you did get the Motion Picture 👍 cool you’ve been working on the home improvements too, I’m planning a bit of work on my library so I can film an update in the next day or two 🤞big hugs and cuddles from me as always Eva 👍😀👍

@@kermitsghost i’m going to have a lot of post by the end of the week what can I say? 😂 One of the best things for me right now, is by the end of the year, I should be able to put my order in for some new wood flooring in my hallway/corridor. Interesting response in relation to 3D, not the sort of answer I was expecting but okay. I did like what James Cameron said around five years ago at a conference in (if I remember correctly) Australia or New Zealand, he basically bottom line he said too many studios were doing 2-D to 3-D conversions and not enough native 3-D stuff, obviously, the glasses are a bit of a hangup for a lot of people also. I think the format could have a really big resurgence. If we get to a point of glasses free, I don’t know how the cost would look, however, on a glasses, free panel. i’m going to assume that you’re going to see Avatar 2 in 3D When it comes out before Christmas? Really looking forward to seeing an update video on your library, you always seem to impress me in terms of how much you get done, considering that you had a spinal fusion done, In certain instances, let’s just be honest, having two rods fuse to your back can have a lot of challenges, I’m probably understating there.

You certainly can, I refuse to upgrade yet again, as I collected VHS then swapped the entire collection (some 700 titles) out for DVD, then again swapped the entire collection out (some 3500 DVD’s) for Blu-ray and I have no intention of doing it again, I’m more than happy with the picture quality and to be honest my eyes are not improving with age so I probably wouldn’t even notice the difference anyway haha, good question, I’m just fed up with the constant upgrading now, take care👍😀👍

"Thin excuse of a case" haha... Yea i'm the other way around. I "HATE" the thick case you guys in the UK uses. Why take up more space when you don't need to when it comes to a single disc release. I would much rather have the thinner cases. Thor truly was a letdown, allthough i don't hate it nearly as much as people online seem to do. Christian Bale saves it a bit.

I think it’s just what I’m used to, I like to see the title big on the spine, I would have liked the blur-ays to have come out in CD size cases (just a bit thicker on the spine haha) that would save space, they don’t need to be so tall. Thor love and thunder I just got from the Disney movie club I want to say last week but I got it after I made my September Haul video ,so it’ll end up in October Haul. You could blame Bob paycheck for that. Disney’s only interested in identity politics and woke garbage so Thor love and thunder might be the last marvel movie I’ll buy. I just recently canceled Disney+ because here in the states the package deal that I had was going to put ads on it if you want it without ads you pay more and the next Package up is more money but they don’t tell you what it comes with, FU Disney.
