I like the park where they use the back of the mallet I didn’t realize that was used for something actually cool

Hello, I am from drum corps in Indonesia studying 4 mallets, and the technique is very difficult. After training, my ring finger and palm always hurt because of the mallet. Have you experienced the same thing? I need tips and motivation to keep up the enthusiasm in learning it, and how do you learn? Thank you
@izzyjr.46663 жыл бұрын
If your ring finger and palm hurt after playing there's a decent chance that you're squeezing a bit too much, hard to say without seeing though. I just spent a lot of time on my own practicing, taking videos of yourself playing and watching them back is a great way to be able to improve.

@@izzyjr.4666 i have the same-ish problem but my pinky finger hurts and I know its not supposed to do you know how I'm holding it wrong? I'm using stevens grip btw not burtons so I have no clue if you would know
@izzyjr.46663 жыл бұрын
@@david_cl35 It could just be that you don't have the muscle built up yet (don't know how long you've been playing) or that you're squeezing too much.

What were your thoughts on your guys’ final run? Jeff Prosperie’s judge tape was leaked onto KZbin and a lot of people were scrutinizing the audio based on a handheld audio recorder. I thought you guys did great, what are your thoughts?

I think we had an amazing finals run. It was probably my best run over the entire season personally. I had a great feeling and big smile on my face as we finished. I couldn't be happier with how it went.
