The last 20 minutes of Blue Hawaii was filmed at the Coco Palms on Kaua'i. Some scenes were filmed in bugalow 59. We show you that bungalow. Next episode will be bungalow 56, Elvis's bungalow every time he stayed at Coco Palms.

As others: I must thank you so much for this post! I was never really interested in this subject, since it was way before my time. Yet ironically, I learned about it a few years ago via, a South Park episode, called, "Going Native". (Sixteenth Season - episode 11) Even if you don't like South Park, or think it to be crude (which it IS), their parody of the whole Hawaiian life style is spot on and priceless. Anyway, The Coco Palms is featured in this episode, (along, with the ghost of Elvis!), so, after seeing that, I HAD to begin to look into this FACINATING place. One you do, you really get sucked into it. If only there was a way to help bring it back to it's rightful grandor, . . .

Trey Parker, the creator of South Park, has a home across the road from Coco Palms. Eric Stough, who is an animation director and producer of the show and has played Butters, went on my tour a few years ago. I have a pic with him on my personal Facebook page. He is a funny guy. I would talk about that episode on all my tours.

@@CocoPalmsResortKauai That is SO awesome dude! Thank's alot for such an awesome reply. Would love to come and visit the place, was only on the Big Island many years ago, since it has Volcano National Park. I work and live in Grand Canyon National Park, which is pretty amazing itself. Much success to you my friend, and again, thanks for such an interesting reply! {:~)

I was on Kauai in February of 2020. We drove past Coco Palms a couple of times each day. It’s haunting, almost like it calls to you. I would have loved to have taken a tour of Coco Palms, a magical place from an era we will never see again. I pray that someone rescues her. Thanks for the tour, Bob!!

Does anyone know where a Co Co Palm shirt can be purchased like the one Bob is wearing in the video? TIA. A friend is a big Elvis fan and we recently rode by the hotel while in Kauai.

Aloha, I had these shirts made years ago and used to sell them. I'm so sorry I no longer have any. Thank you for your interest...Mahalo, Bob
