I think this movie shouldn't get titled as "The Blue Lagoon" because the original 1980 version with Brooke Shields is about natural love-- that was the purpose of the movie. These two characters in this movie were in school and were taught of society's rules of love and maturity, etc.. I can't judge the movie itself because I have never seen it, but I just wished it wasn't given the expectations that it is similar to the 1980 version.

The Blue Lagoon was filmed On Turtle Islan in Fiji in the South Pacific, as was it's Sequel "Return". this is just a cheap knock off. Hey, it might be a good film, but im not interested in watchign another remake of a remake of a remake. Watch the original. it's better anyway.

If you've watched the 1980's version of The Blue Lagoon, Mr. Christiansen is the SAME ACTOR as the MAIN CHARACTER in the 1980's Blue Lagoon which is Richard Lestrange. It gave me chills and the 1980's version is more romantic :'(
