I took the Way of the Playa to America.
The courses in Virginia and Maryland are beautiful and I wish I could stay longer but I was only there for 5-6 days before going to Phoenix.
The temperature was not for me, but it was nice to meet playas. They make it all worth it. It's difficult because of all the isolation and shutdowns throughout 2020 and 2021.

Next time I would come to this area for 2 months. I would come in Spring or summer and learn the grass and the conditions. There was no time as I was touring in DC and Virginia enjoying time there with my wife as a tourist and as a semi honeymoon as we were separated for 7 months in 2020 after getting married 2 months prior.
I hit the ball like a baus in this round despite landing the prior day in the evening. The short game is always the first to go when you're unpracticed, or tired. That can be sharpened up but you need a larger arsenal in the grasses here in this part of the world. I had never seen tjem before, but I think about 10 hours of practice should be enough to work them out.

Get myself back to the mindset i held as a beginner golfer - stress free! As i improved i tended to put more pressure on myself which can lead to me not always being the best playa to play with. Embracing the stree-free approach will allow me to have more fun and lead to better scores by taking out the stupid shots

Great to see the Hypeman again - I love his jovial personality and positive attitude. Playa-in-Chief shoots a respectable 10-over playing on the other side of the world, in strange course conditions, while jetlagged and --- in restrictive clothing no less. Waddaplaya!

@@GolfSidekick Also, these are not the greatest conditions to play in the north atm when leaves fall from trees and also are in the middle of the fairways. Sometimes because of that, you can lose a ball when you know you have hit it very good and in normally a safe spot. Better time to play in north is mid sping that is around mid-april ( little bit later in some states) until max mid october... Glad to see you are in America, TRUST THE SYSTEM, WADDAPLAYA !

You can. Get up and down in 3 shots or less inside 100 yards and you're breaking 80

I played this course regularly since I grew up about an hour away and it brings back great memories. I have since moved to Alabama and I had to do the opposite by learning how to play bermuda & zoysia grass instead of bent. Thank you for the chance to see the course again,

One of my favorite courses in MD. Only played it once when a good friend of mine’s dad asked me to join when I visited in between college breaks. His daughter couldn’t care less about golfing so just the two of us went out. He (the dad) passed away shortly after but was very kind and genuine and loved the game of golf more than anyone I’ve met. Very good memories there.

Yas kween. I went through the same adaptation when i started the channel. I grew up playing kikuyu fairways and bent greens. This is reverse adaptation now after getting used to bermuda wadda360

Stoked to see the ‘Merica footage! My goal for 2022 is to get outside my comfort zone and play rounds with strangers. I work in a restaurant so my days off usually don’t work out to play with them so I’ll look for a wide open tee time to play solo.
