Thanks from the USA! I discovered a whole new world when I discovered the world of Australian True Crime. So much fascinating history there down under. Great film. Thanks for sharing it.

The house Rogerson occupied in real life was used for the bbq scene and his arrest scene. It is this fine detail that adds to the credibility of this, the best depiction of Australian crime on screen ever.

That was an amazing program, between Australia and the UK . I hate to say this but American TV program doesn't even rate, I'm from the USA. American TV needs to watch and learn..

America has an enormous film making industry and in catering for an equally massive audience they produce few "pearls"... There are some older series that warrant applause and the Tom Selleck series based on the character "Jesse Stone" is excellent... The Brits get it right nine times out of ten... The Auzzies keep it real and down to earth... Our film industry has produced a couple of really good crime series of late... However... Although we have come a long way in a short time...we are a ways behind the two of you... 🇿🇦

Crazy to think that if Chris Flannery had just shot a few centimetres to the left how different the story would have turned out. In fact, we would have never heard of it.
@felixjones919810 ай бұрын
Some people reckon it was Laurie Prendergast who was the shooter.
@byza10110 ай бұрын
@@felixjones9198yeah I’ve seen that too, what I have learned about Prendergast, it makes sense. I don’t reckon Roger was there, he was still in the force, why would he risk it?
@felixjones919810 ай бұрын
@@byza101 apparently Roger was in some RSL on the other side of town, having dinner with plenty of witnesses, possibly including Ned Smith, but not including Flannery or Prendergast.

Is the yarn about Flannery being too out of it to take the shot so Rogerson pulled the trigger instead B.S?

This is a great prpgramme, but what fascinates me is how everything really connected and how many people got away with things, career criminls and career criminal cops...not in a tinfoil hat way but so many of the investigations were stymied and not all due to incompetence...

Neddy was apparently 6'5". While the actor's expressions and mannerisms were great, his stature was not.

BTW the blunt end stays and the pointy end leaves. 5:10 poor production shell casings do not end up in the body.

I laughed at that too. This whole series was far too over dramatised, the real story ws much less dramatic. I guess the old vantage never let the truth get in the way of a good story never rang so true 😂

They could've killed Drury in 10,000 other ways, but shooting him in front of his family was the straw that broke the camel's back. I can't believe Drury was alive for ten minutes. Sheesus...
@arthurneddysmith Жыл бұрын
Your last, full sentence is 100% correct. If Drury had "passed away," none of this would have ever been known by the likes of you and I. It would have been just another inexplicable demise: no leads, no connections.

The thing I’d change is after discussion at Arncliffe Scots Flannery & Rogerson went to Drurys place & Flannery was too out of it so Rogerson fired the shots !When Ray Interviews Rogerson he should have handed him some toilet paper to wipe what came out of his mouth!
