This song, as many others have gotten me through so much in my life, but this song, this song is the epitome of the Depression I have endured, the insomnia, the anxiety, the, PTSD from the childhood I lived and the war I deployed too, but most of all the toxic family that kept me from who I was always meant to be. So I moved on from it all, I left town with the ones who truly matter to me, my wife and kids, now I'm finally chasing dreams, I mean really chasing dreams as a writer and photographer, but most of all someone trying to live my life free. Not sure if you will hear my words, but thank you.

I can’t help but love this band. My brother gave me the cd and it spoke to me because the things Justin was making art out of, we were living at that time. The songs were so personal. The drug addictions, the mental illnesses, the struggles with genuinely connecting with other people. And I watched and listened as the band and Justin matured and grew up, until he started singing songs to his wife and family, and started dancing for fucks sake. That one still makes me smile. But yeah. I’m not saying I followed his lead, but I will say some of us are lucky enough to come out of that grave, even while we remember the ones who didn’t. RIP little brother.

Just unbelievable how much this band has an effect on people, seen them twice in Toronto, I have been a fan since the argue with a tree album came out, then when hate me hit the charts, they were exposed for all to hear and see, I have been suffering from clinical depression for 7 years and these song I can cope with most of them, and the sadder songs I can't really listen to them as I get all choked up and tear up so I have to shut it off and go hide in the washroom for awhile till I get back to normal, don't want my kids to see me, but still my favorite band, and also the band LIVE, 2 very underrated bands. You rock Justin, please co e to Hamilton or Toronto Ontario, loved your show at the docks,I was 2 feet away from the band, what a trip. Love it.

I met a guy who introduced me to you guys back in 2019... I didn't closely start listening to your songs up until recently. We sadly don't talk anymore but, I am certainly grateful for him introducing me to your music. I sometimes really miss him.

From "Hate Me" helping me cope with feelings earlier in my life, "I Hope You're Happy" at the beginning of my divorce with a wife who treated me like shit, to this coming out when I'm starting to get my life back together and beating back my depression has been so impactful in the best way. I hope I get to see you guys live some day. Thank you.

I love your words… “you heal my soul )❤️ this is my mantra-my rock this at the top of my lungs every day driving to work. Sober for 15 years, but can’t get past the pain of the past. This song keeps putting my past where it belongs. Thank you so much for lifting me out of the darkness! ❤️

💙I journey with you. Justin-Your music has given me words for times I had none. Even right now this song is so significant. You encourage me to move on and to accept that I can be happy about it- it's a weight being removed! It's my joy! So- so long! I'll never take you back! I'm moving on!

Justin, you’ve held that pain for longer than I know what it means to love another. And you lost blue. And you are her father. I know you’ll never read this. But I was the step father to 4 beautiful children for almost 5 years. I’m only 28. The only reason I’m still awake today is because your music has given me hope, it has given me a home. Thank you. I would not be here today if it wasn’t for your music. I miss them every day. And I hope they are doing better than I am, I hope they are doing fantastic, that they are doing great!!

My brother was the kindest human being I’ve ever met, but he got addicted to drugs and 1 year later he died. To see Justin go from “hate me” to this song is just so heart warming and bittersweet. He could have been just one more dead drug addicted but he turned his life around. I’m so proud of you Justin, and I wish my brother could have made it too, just as you did! ❤
