One of the best rock & roll songs ever, and the studio version (on Secret Treaties) is a masterpiece of the era - amazing tension & release!

🗣 This is the *Best* version of this song. My opinion is: Fantastic contact with the audience at this concert. The audience actively participates and follows the singer. *BRAVO* 😎

Such an underrated band. Buck Dharma doesn't get enough credit in the guitar community either.

Saw Them On Long Island A Couple Of Nights Later At The Nassau Coliseum And When Bloom Went Into The Speech About Long Islands Finest PO-licemen,And Writin A Letter To Jimmy Carter To Tell Him "WE Wanna Get High And We Don't Wanna Go To Jail For It!" I Thought The Rent-A Cops Were Gonna Shit A Brick! Probably The Best Oyster Show I Ever Saw Out Of The Many,Many,Many,MANY I've Seen

I've got one show on tape where he talks about driving around with some friends, when he noticed a police car coming up behind them. "You better eat whatever you got, because the man with the red and blue flashing lights is right behind us!"

Nothing against Eric Bloom but I prefer Al Bouchard on vocals. Love the Black and White period of BŐC; Secret Treaties.

If there is any album that would be Sgt Pepper by The Beatles, Secret Treaties would the Rubber Soul/Pre-'67. Nothing but good vibes and Rock N' Roll. Absolute masterpiece.

Definitely my favorite album by them for all that tour at the spectrum and Philadelphia. They were fantastic. Only problem is they should’ve been the headliner.

How cool.....love the older video. First saw them around that time and then 4 more times throughout the years. I so dig this song. Think it's time to see them again!

LOL Yeah I was at that show and WLIR broadcast it(from the start of Albert's drum opening of ME262 -a few songs in.If you recall Stairway had no vocals because the mikes weren't working).

@MajorMitch1775 I couldn't agree more! Albert's voice sounds vulnerable and scared which adds a lot to the song. Anyone have a link to a good live Albert version?

I think I like this version with Eric on vocals even better, and I LOVE the album version with Albert Bouchard.

+TheNightmare75II Why didn't Albert sing the song live since he did on the studio version?

That's a great question. After all, Albert sang Cities on Flame while with the band.

@treflipjockin I happen to disagree. I think this is (with no doubt) Eric's song! Same with Cisites of flame. I don't really care for Buchard's voice at all with B.O.C. ..... Just my opinion. THANKS FOR WATCHING!! :D

ow, who edited this? something goes horribly wrong at 2:15 after "said it's 1964"
@kellenrist39738 жыл бұрын
The film got cut, I think. The original is from Largo 1976, and Eric goes on a spiel about drugs and speed limits. That isn't in here, so the sound might have something to do with that.
