@SmallTownMonsters2 жыл бұрын
We always check the weather before heading out. The thing is weather can change very quickly in the mountains, especially the Southern Appalachians, which was the case here. Weather forecasts can be off as well, we were slated to have mostly sunny weather that whole time there, clearly that wasn't the case! Plus this was at the tail end of our trek to Florida (covered in four other episodes) so we didn't have the necessary long term rain gear!
@tatehieronymus2 жыл бұрын
And this was planned out months in advance to have things work within the budget, so it’s difficult to check the weather that far out cause it can definitely change. So at that point, you just gotta expect what happens. You wouldn’t know it, but in one of the FL episodes, it was 27 degrees, it was freezing! But again, that’s all part of filming and production.

Hey guys! This was a very entertaining video... maybe for some of the wrong reasons but still, I think you guys show promise. As I watched I was taken with your editing and cinematography - truly some stunning shots of the Blue Ridge Mtns... to a degree that this could almost pass for a travel video for Blue Ridge tourism - after watching you guys I actually want to take a trip down there! You guys have great chemistry and make a good team - great humour... this also made the viewing worthwhile. I thought there was maybe too much filler and not enough searching and strategy... I also recommend you invest in some night vision gear, maybe a parabolic dish to zero in on low sounds and try to normalize your audio - I kept my finger on the volume for some pretty intense jumps in volume coupled with having to crank it to hear your barely legible whispers. Not a big seal really but it would sure "pro" your product up to have more consistent volume. I was left wondering, as I do with many Sasquatch searching vids, why did you pull out when there was so much to indicate that there were promising indicators to stay and wait them out - the trees broken off, the trees bowed over, the trees in an X formation, the trees scattered as if to block/guide which direction for you to walk in, the crack in the forest, the faint whooping heard during the night, the past report of sightings in the area, etc. I'd like to see you guys go back there earlier in the season, like when the leaves are just beginning to turn colour - I believe Sasquatch are sometimes nomadic but don't move from areas until the leaves have dropped and vegetation food sources dry up for the year. I would have liked to see you guys utilize your drone in a search capacity and not just for capturing some truly stunning views of that landscape... oh, and your burgers looked amazing and made me drool! I guess if I was to summarize my feedback - more content and less filler. Good job guys - made me subscribe! I look forward to watching your videos and your search tactics in maybe a couple of years from now - you're onto something that I think will really enhance the Sasquatch hunters community when you hone your video and search skills a wee bit more.

You know how many times I went to a local metro park (about 1100-1400 acres) and saw things like woodpeckers and deer? I saw a pileated woodpecker (the inspiration for Woody Woodpecker) ONCE in 5-6 years of going to his park! On a half-dozen occasions, I saw deer and was lucky to film them pass in front of me TWICE. I only got them on film because my camera was already filming!!! So many things you run into by pure luck. People make a TON of noise and most animals run away from that. Those that are used to people or are too slow to get away quickly you will see. I've seen toads, chipmunks, squirrels, and rat snakes. Those were more constant; they're more used to people. Everything else is chance! Getting a shot on film is the luck of having your camera out already and fully adjusted. I totally understand how people miss shots of animals because I've only BEEN luck to catch things on film when I was ready by sheer chance.

@@kevindurcan7072 Oh, I see deer more often than I like to! They sometimes gather by the mailboxes in the community I live in! There are a lot of them around our area. By contrast, I have only seen a coyote ONCE in the nearly 20 years I've lived in my area. I saw that coyote (which I thought was an unusual dog) running behind the local Wal Mart! I had a situation about 15-17 years ago where a deer briefly paced my car and I was traveling close to 45mph on that road!!! My high school band conductor once crashed into a deer. It did enormous damage to the front of his car and the animal was killed. He could have taken the carcass but he wasn't a deer meat eater and he didn't have the tools to prepare the meat!!! Sometimes, there are too many deer. There are a lot of communities swamped with deer but people are too soft-hearted to control (re: thin the herds smartly) the populations. They all got indoctrinated by Disney's Bambi at an early age! LOL By contrast, I had an ex-coworker that was an avid hunter and he knew a lot about deer -- also when to avoid eating them because of brain diseases and things like that. He definitely had no problem taking out Bambi if that fellow ran through his rifle scope!
