you are a great artist,don't know how you keep the thinner paint from running all over the place with the blue towards the bottom, I can never get it to stay so controlled but I'm mostly on canvas this appears to be water color paper? I don't know beautiful.

When you paint do you generally put down a base and add the drips with watercolor and switch to acrylics to finish it off?

No, I don't use watercolor on canvas at all - it's all acrylics

Brilliant! I found the theatrics and camera work to be a great distraction from seeing, and enjoying your technique. I would say if you make it less like a music video, the viewer will engage at a greater depth, as your work is fascinating.

How'd you get the acrylic to act like a water color?

+TheCatsMeow Well, idk what she does.. but i always add a bit of water to them whenever i want them to look like watercolors. i hope it helps you, gl :)

The issue with diluting Acrylic with water is that it causes the bonds of the acrylic to become weaker and likely to fade or deteriorate. Its fine for personal art, but not a product to sell.

+TheCatsMeow I guess it depends on the professional brand of the acrylics as I never saw my paintings change color or something and I use water, plus I finish artworks with krylon archival acrylic varnish :)

+TheCatsMeow you'd be surprised, though that is often the "rule of thumb" to not mix water, so many professional artists do. We're all kind of cheaters I guess. Personally I use Liquitex Heavy Body and use Golden Acrylic glazing to thin my acrylics down. I haven't had a problem though when I do use them, I believe the true test is how the paintings look in 20+years lol... Once in a while, when I want the thinnest of glazes, I will break down and use water. But when the acrylic is thinned down so much, I have found you want to treat them as you would watercolor when it comes to handling. Using a sealant should help in the long run, too. :)
