A pause in your Melody gives the listener time to process the energy that you just played out in your flute. Along with the pause the listener is anticipating the next Melody. Thus the enjoyment and spirituality of the Native American flute! I totally agree with you Charlie! Blessings!

You are awesome. I love my flute, and I love that you are not only a flute maker and seller, but a teacher. I've sent many friends your way because they thought they could never afford a NAF. Now, they're happy, happy people. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and this song! Ramble on, Charlie!

Charlie - This is the song that got me interested in the Native American Flute. It just captivated me. If I close my eyes I can see your ancestors Roaming the land in Harmony. Thank YOu!

Brother, I’ve printed this song out you have for us to be able to do. Thanks! I’m playing it now for one month. Now reviewing this video to see how close I am to how you are doing it. I know as you say”play it your own way”. However your interpretation is very beautiful. I always give credit to you. Thank you very much. You are an inspiration to me and I’m taking my flute on a 6 mtg hike. I feel it is anyway to further connect to the land as I walk thru it. So I have been playing and practicing extra hard on a daily basis in order to to have a level of profiency when i leave in this hike this April 15, 2024. Thanks again.

I agree with many commenters below - the rambling makes your videos more real and raw. Like the real experience of being in a classroom. I appreciate that habit of yours the most because I learn more about YOU that way. Thanks, Mr. Charlie!

Many thanks Charlie - I’ve been enchanted with your intro from the first time I heard it. Thanks for sharing. And even though you may ramble, it’s an interesting ramble. Sometimes the best part of a journey is a side trip or a rest stop at an unexpected place. Thanks again❤️

Love it! Got one of your premium toasted flutes key of A. absolutely would like to see them again. And a high b in pine of yours. But the pine absorbs a lot of oil/wax vs the other wood seems to hold wax a lot longer it’s great 👍.

Depending on where you are starting include making, I would suggest simply going over all of the flute making videos we have on my channel and picking out what works best for you. We have videos on tuning, making a flute in the key of A, G, F sharp, and so on. I have videos where I make flutes using only simple tools and so on. I'm sure you'll find one that should help!
