Rude or no, the guy was trying to inject some hype into an otherwise pretty quiet lot. I find it interesting how much he let a little commentary from the crowd get to him. Adding a drum set to the lot (a silly practice in its own right) makes it part of the performance, and if he can't perform with the same mental game as the drumline around him, then that's his own problem.

People seem to forget the lot is for the corps to perform not for a close up show. Yes it's totally ok to react to cool things that happen but wooing after everything makes you lose your focus( at least for when I warmup the only people I want talking is center snare saying which warmup we are doing.) Warmups are for the corps to get into that focused mind set not for you to woohoo so they can't focus.
