1975 Honda XL175 - AAR DAN GURNEY Original Owner - Denwerks - Motorcycle

This bike is so neat, first it is an original Survivor, with 1085 miles on it, but it was owned by the Legendary DAN GURNEY, the Racing Legend, who was teamed up with Carroll Shelby they originally Started AAR together. I just bought one exactly like this one from the original owner who bought it new in 1974. it has 9,362 miles on it. it runs like a top. I'm loving it!

I had one exactly like it. Used it to deliver the news paper.go camping,hide in the woods from the fuzz cuz I didnt hav e a drivwr license

Those was notorious for snapping off the kik start inside the case.

I just got the same bike for 500 bucks...but needs exhaust and tires..good shape otherwise with 5k...want to restore.. Cant find a original muffler though

Yes, the XL series was an eduro type. The XR was dirt only, the CR was 2 stroke dirt I believe.

I have the same bike....exact same year and model except mine doesn't have it's turn signals. Mines in very good condition as well. 6 volt! It stalled because Bill didn't wait long enough for it to warm up before opening the choke back up. You can see him in the video reaching to his left when this happens and later on wwhile riding after it got warmed up enough to give it more throttle. Mine runs like scalded cat! Starts on the first kick. I start it while standing next to the bike. It's easier that way. :)

I just received the exact same bike from my father-in-law with only 2000 miles and I'm restoring it. I cannot find a foam air filter that fits. Any ideas?

@@joezaffuto2592 Buy the uni foam filter material and make your own. That’s what I did for my XL175.

Kick start was a problem otherwise a great bike.It snapped the shaft.But loved it here in Aus 74.
