I save my pocket change in a coin tube style bank throughout the year and use cash often. Usually save up $100 to $150 worth of change. My unscientific results are, the quarter tube being the tallest, fills up the fastest. Dimes get about 3/4 full by the time quarter tube is overflowing. Nickel tube is maybe 1/3 full. Get back nickels the least for sure over many years. Just to add I believe I saw an article where they are looking to change the designs on all of the change in 2026. Dimes nickels everything.

P mintages were 29.7 mil and D was 36.7 mil. The P rolls go for $50 and the D rolls for over $200. So the higher mintage D sells for 4 times the low mintage P. There must be something else going on here😳

Thank you Shaun! "Our circulating coinage really does not circulate much anymore" is a PCGS article from 2017. 1955 was the lowest mintage of the Roosevelt dime and the San Francisco issue was the last circulating silver coin for that mint.

@sammybella6639 I started searching rolls maybe 4 months ago and taking a guess, I'd say I've looked at 12,000-14,000 nickels. No 2024s, but I found about 400 with dates ranging from 1938 to 1960. Several key dates and RPMs. Out of those, I found l less than 2 dozen war nickels. And only 2 beat up Buffalo nickels and a 1907 V nickel. I'm going to start searching dime rolls soon, the forgotten about stepchild of coins. How about you? Have you found anything special while searching nickels?

I got lucky I got 6 rolls of 2024 nickels from my bank. I did open one roll. To date I have found no 2024 nickels or dimes in circulation. I live in Maryland and thought I would find some easily!

Thanks for your insights on the market. You have had some fantastic successes on your predictions. That said I started looking for a D roll to add to my stash. Lots of rolls out say Lumus, is that some big bank? Also many of advertised D rolls have Harrisburg PA stamped on the side, should the real rolls be stamped Denver. I did not see one roll with Denver stamped but the contained Ds with Harrisburg PA on the side. What’s going on?

I went to the bank I use, asked for 4 rolls of nickels. they opened a new box and it was ALL 2024 D nickel rolls. I only have 1 sealed roll left and this was before the nickel talk started. This last roll both ends have reversed facing out tho.

I searched lincon cents and got 1911 cent, no mint mark with "L" on rim and it's still in good shape. Got several 20s and 40s Wheaties and 1963 D that's stunning and I mean spotless and shiny red. So overall I feel I had a great search

The sad thing is....the US Mint can make any upcoming production a "modern keydate". Just take a look at their recent auction of privy mark gold coinage. Unless they come back to reality, I am done with directly dealing with the US Mint from here on out, and I guess my collections will be missing those $200 roll modern keydate coins too. I live in the south west… I bought $500.00 worth of NICKEL.. I have had luck finding them in this HUNTING…. But what I think has happened is the mint or whoever…. KNEW OF THE LOW MINTAGE AND THEY INSERTED JUST SOME INTO THE NICKEL ROLLS…, but NOT IN EVERY ROLL..and it is JUST PURE LUCK. IF ONE FINDS AN ENTIRE BOX‼️😳😮🧐

I lived my teenage years in 1975 and 76 and remember that they made the 1975 coins bicentennial a year before with the exception of the penny, nickel and dimes. Might they do the same thing in 2025? No matter what the final mintage numbers are on the 24 nickels, I think they will be one of the keys to the series, both P and D mints.

The rolls are crimped on the end, so you can see the face of the coin if it's facing the right way.

The mint maybe loosing a penny for every nickel, but they are also making a lot of money by producing pennies that are going to rust away, and gets so dirty that people would put them in the garbage.

I've gotten several rolls of supposed to be full rolls of 2024P from Loomis only to find out they were not all 2024s! I totally disagree with you not to open the rolls. I like to guarantee my buyers of what they are buying. I've sold many beautiful uncirculated rolls on eBay that I opened with photos of the nickels and I got a better price than an Unopened, unverified roll. I understand that maybe the rolls may never be opened, but Loomis wrapped coins are rarely ever full unc rolls no matter what the denomination. BTW, rebook mintage shows the 1959P was the last lowest mintage than the 2024P, not 1958. Love your channel, just wanted to share my experiences with you and your viewers.
