I grew up listening to this band. I went to see them perform in San Francisco and was amazed by how they freestyled their way through the night. Vut the most incredible part was when they left stage. The crowd ROARED for an encore!!! Popper came back on stage and honored the crowd with an encore song. He played Mountains Win Again. My favorite Blues Traveler song. When he was done he bowed and threw his harmonica into the crowd where my girlfriend caught it!!! and she gave it to me. its a prized possession of mine. ill never forget that moment. it was incredible. CHEERS!!!! To Blues Traveler and anyone who ends up here because they need some reassurance. Rock on!

I think part of what makes truly great and memorable music is that people from all sorts of different situations can relate to it. This is the power of blues music. We've all felt it to some degree, and when we acknowledge those feelings we can find healing. I truly hope you have found healing and have found new meanings in everything you enjoy listening to.

The other day I was shopping and heard a Blues Traveler song over the speakers of the grocery store. I said damn remember Blues Traveler and everyone just looked at me like I was a alien. God damn those were the go od days when music was worth listening to. My gf said who cares they sucked anyways. But she doesn't know i used to play this song when I was 16 thinking of a girl I had a crush on all through high school back in the middle 90s. I kinda creeped on her Facebook page and thats when I realized that was then.. she has kids and a husband and looked really happy. But when I hear this song I wonder if she ever thought of me. We kissed one night playing ghost in the grave yard by the boat docks. It was my first kiss. I took her to home coming but I was so shy I couldn't ever think what to say to her. I choked. But when I heard Blue Traveler I felt like I was in a time machine it was a different time back then. We were all such beautiful kids it was a beautiful time back then. I'll never forget those days I'd stay up all night thinking of her and playing this song. Maybe it was just a natural high thinking of her and playing great music like this. Anyways thanks for the memories BT!

You'll never forget the pain of loss, it will never go away and sometimes it will catch you unawares after years and cause you to throw yourself at its feet and weep, but the everyday torment will become softer and you will stand tall, deal with it, scarred, but stronger. For everyone who has hurt, in other words, all of us.

It was 2007, driving with all the windows down across the desert in Nevada. Sun setting in the west, orange hue hugging the tops of the mountains around the valley. My British “brother” was staying with me for a month, because he was visiting from England. I live in Southern CA (LA area) and we were driving back from Northern CA after visiting my family in San Francisco. We took a wrong turn after visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium and ended up having to take the long way home which was the famous 1/Pacific Coast Highway. He drove as I had my hand out the window enjoy the ocean breeze mixed with the smell of pine trees and redwoods. This song played as We drove through the mountains along the ocean and stopped to watch the sunset. This will always be “our song” and our friendship will always be epic.

This is just an awesome song! As a Christian I wish more songs dealt with matters like this instead of the glib cliches we hide behind. After losing my son at 3 years old the mountains of depression are not always easy to fight against and they are hard to climb over. I love the line "men are not to cry, so how am I to stop it?" Men do cry, sometimes the mountains win. "In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers and requests with loud cries and tears to God, who could save him from death." Hebrews 5:7. Jesus cried out loudly with tears and it's okay for us to do so also. Life is not always easy, things rock us really hard and we don't always have all the answers right now. God knows this and thats why He encourages us to pour out our hearts to Him and find a refuge in Him, not to keep it all inside. Psalm 62:8 By the way Popper rocks the harmonica!!!

Bro, I'm not a Christian...but I'm definitely with you on this one. Every time I hear Christian Music I think "geez, do you think God ever gets sick of people telling him what he is and how great he is? How about writing something from the heart that shows what he *means* to you, or how about writing human stories that show how your Christian principles help you transcend or see better ways of looking at life?"

Very cleverly titled. Love didn't move those mountains. It sure moved them once in my life, which is apparently nearing its end. Oh, well... what can I do? We all have to take that final journey, terrifying as it may be. But those mountains we moved eventually became an obstacle instead of a sign of triumph. We unknowingly moved those mountains right between us, and now there's a huge chasm where my heart once lived.
