You start this song thinking just: "ok... this is a pretty good cover!", but the song keeps getting better and better and better... until, at the end, you are in a f***ing trance, having a full-blown religious experience! Man! John Popper is an absolute LEGEND!

I had the great privilege of witnessing this incredible performance in person! I had seen JP and Blues Traveler play their 4th of July concert at Red Rocks for many years running as an annual tradition. But this part, of this night, on this July 4th, made this concert like none of the others like I had seen before at Red Rocks. It was the most spiritual experience I’ve ever had at Red Rocks, and I’ve had a few experiences in the over 100 concerts I’ve seen there. Simply amazing to watch John and Ziggy pay tribute in such a beautiful way to Bob, on such a beautiful night, in such a magnificent place!

The mutual respect on the stage that night between Popper and Marley was wonderful to see. It was truly an AMAZING performance. Dare I say better than the original?!
@brentbox5684 Жыл бұрын
John has always gotten that respect from the musicians he plays with. You can always see the pure joy on their faces. They know when they are in the presence of true musicianship. He is not a harmonica player, he is not a vocalist, he is not a songwriter, he is a musician to the core. I owe him more than I could ever convey or repay. Long live BT!
@andrewb46209 ай бұрын
