mine node 2 restored after replacing 3 caps (2 mentioned 1000uF/10V and a neighbouring black one 10uF/400V). Thx for the video as it was the main hint.

Thom - Thanks for leading the way. Followed your video and discovered the same issue. Brought the power supply board to a local shop and had the caps changed. Everything is back to normal now.

Thanks very much Thom. After watching your video I examined my unit and discovered a bulging cap. I replaced with a similar cap purchased from my local electronics store and hey presto, it worked. My Bluesound now works perfectly again. Thanks for your advice.

Thanks Thom - had the same issue, and BlueSound support directed me back to the original vendor, but well out of warrantee and repair cost likely greater than box is worth. Started looking into replacing with a RaspberryPi (+ hat) but then came across your video. Less than $3 for parts, and one hour later it is back up and running. The 2 capacitors touching the heat sink (great design!) were visibly blown and so replaced. There are high temperature tolerant capacitors out there, but I didn't have patience to track them down (replacements have original spec). Thanks again for the video.

Obrigado pela dica. Os condensadores do transformador switching estavam danificados. Após substituir ambos os condensadores o aparelho começou a funcionar normalmente.

Did you repair it? Or wasn't it broken at all?

Isn't it good idea to put then external power supply? Does anybody know voltage level of the main part?

Thom, I have the same issue with my Node 2. In an email exchange, BS told me that , owing to the flashing red optical lights, it was an "Internal Power Supply" failure. They said I should find the receipt, take it to my vendor, and perhaps they "MIGHT" do something. Likely story. Did you replace the caps and, if so, did that work? If not, would it be worth changing all the caps? Any other ideas? Thanks

I replaced the caps but not all of them. There were 2-3 that were clearly bulging. BTW, I took mine to the sound shop where I bought it and they told me to contact BlueSound. The caps part is not too hard but an electronics shop could (should) easily do it for < $50.

Your far better to remove this crappy, noisy switching power supply and replace it with a Linear External PSU. Bluesound had done a horrible job of integrating a noisy switching PSU in the HD streamer. Once you replace the PSU you will notice a huge difference in sound quality. There are several third party that make an External PSU Kit. Vinshine Audio out of Singapore is by far the best solution. Get rid of this crappy switching PSU that Bluesound puts in this product. Its a sad excuse for a PSU.
