I remember in Mario Odyssey I would always play as Cappy, and whenever my younger brother would try to go in a pipe, door, etc., I would just jump, and that would just boost him so he couldn't go in lol. But this. This is next level.

Hm, interesting. So, I created this multiplayer mode 10 years ago under the code name "Project Bottle", later released in a still very much unfinished state in 2011. I had no idea someone had later taken it and built new levels on top of it. While I'm happy that people got some amusement out of it, I'm also sad to see it used in its current state (rather than someone finishing it) since I only ever implemented proper support for a fraction of the enemies. Only Chuck, Swooper, the climbing Koopas and Banzai Bill have specialized code; everything else just defaults to a simplistic "turn/hover/fall" routine I put in as a placeholder to give some primitive controls for the "not yet officially supported" enemies. It's a shame, since it currently only scratches the surface of what one could do with a system like this. (I dunno, maybe this should serve as motivation to one day resume work on it.) My personal favorite was coding support for Chuck since its rich moveset (sitting, walking, running, jumping, splitting) made it a blast to playtest. Oh yeah, and because it's totally OP.

Pokemon is a brilliant idea, bur couldn't Player 2 just cheese it by having all random encounters run away so Player 1 can't level up much or catch anything? I guess you could make it so wild Pokemon can't run away (Except with like teleport or something like that)

Pokémon would be tough to beat. The one edge the player always has over the game (aside from being able to grind and use items) is being smarter than them. Trying to power your way through an entire dungeon filled with competent enemy trainers would make things much trickier.
