I try my hardest to make them interesting in some way. It has become a fun challenge. I am pretty comfortable doing them now, once I get past the "boring for me" technical stuff. You would not believe how many video clips it takes me to get through that. Take after take after take. Once I get through that uncomfortable stuff, I could do it in one take with no mistakes. Lol. I enjoy it.

It can draw up to 50 amps to give you the 500 watt output, but you need to have that much power available from your alternator.

I think if you would have searched in the app for AC200L it would then modify the output to fit that unit. I'm guessing it would have gone higher than the default 207. Just a thought.

Joe, you might want to check the charging mode that you have set for the 200L. On my 180 I have 3 charging modes silent, standard and turbo. Those settings regulate the maximum wattts going into the battery when it's hooked up to the grid, but I'm not sure if it would impact how the charger feeds in the watts.

Good point, it did say that the battery (power station) is what regulates how much power it will take.

Hey Joe, I forgot one more thing. My last response was so long that I didn't include it, haha. I've never seen you try one of these on the trucks block heater or oil warmer like you have in yours. I was just wondering how long it would last. Sure would make things easier up at the tent for winter trips. Lol, just keep it inside the truck like you did that alternator attachment or whatever you call it and put one solar panel in the back window to keep it charged. And does it have the reverse effect to charge your truck battery from the generator back through the same device. If that makes any sense. Now that would be impressive, hahaha. Thanks

I suppose if one doesn't have a 115v outlet in their vehicle, this would be a good addition. I never really gave it a thought since my 9-yr old cheapie SUV has a 115v, 3 - 12v, and 2 - 5v USB power points. I just took it for granted that newer vehicles were even more blessed.

Just be aware that putting that much load on your alternator (regularly) the alternator may fail unexpectedly - Alternators are usually designed to jus keep the battery topped up and loads of 2 or 300 wats (Generalization) - If you expect to charge regularly consider changing your alternator to a 90 to 150A upgraded alternator

Would be interesting if it could work in a boat. While running around, if it could recharge a lithium battery used on a trolling motor. A boat engine (40hp and up) won't have a powerful alternator such as a truck or car, but if it could recharge at 200w that's pretty good for a small battery.

I think you should plug in the Ac200 into the cigarette plug to see what the input is from that compared with the 207 from the charger1 .🤓👍🤓👍.Randy.

That is a great idea. If they have me do a follow up video I will include that test. I wish I would have thought about that. You could clearly see with the app, that the power was put out much more than what went in. Actually, I took the lighter ports out of my truck when I bought it and put in USB plugs. They show what the power is to that port which you saw in the video. You clearly saw what you are already wanting to know. A person would just have to do the math. I am heading to Deer Camp in the morning so I will leave that task to you. Lol.

Is it necessary to have this setup to charge any power station with a vehicle?

No. You can charge them with your cigarette port but the Bluetti Charger 1 Alternator Charger charges up to 5 times faster than that port. Usually you will need that power station each evening and with the Charger 1, it would have it fully charged. With the port, it would not.

Hey Joe, in the app, is it asking for the model number of the battery that you’re charging or the model number of the Charger 1? It might make a difference in the charging rate. Kevin from AZ.

3/4 but they did switch out all the springs and stuff to 1 ton. I am just sick of how rough it rides and how tall it is, it really makes normal every day truck use harder than it needs to be.
