For anyone looking to buy this unit, my AC500 has been running non-stop for almost a year. Just thought it would be helpful info.

I have been using the AC300/B300 system for two years now started with one of each and October last year purchased the 7th and 8th battery's. I run it in split phase and with a transfer switch to run all my critical loads and a few more every day. It offsets my power use by about 10-15Kwh each day. The biggest problem i have is with solar input, with the 150v 12a limit it it hard to find panels that will give you 1240w of input without going over the voltage(and cold weather makes the panel voltage go up! just a .2v over voltage will shut down the inverter!!) This winter i had several days i could not use the system because of poor solar, right now i am only able to connect 1500w instead of the rated 2400 per inverter due to voltage limitations. Anyone buying this system should consider carefully this fact. You need very specific panels to reach the rated solar input. Other than that i love this system and recommend it. Of course the AC500 and B300s is just that much better and if it had been available when i started i would have gone with it.

Have you tried over paneling in parallel to keep the voltage in limit but have some amps of the part cloud days

Issue with bluettie is their customer service is horrible. U goota call them. They don't respond on fb messenger. Next on thier warranty after one year if the power bank breaks they don't give u a new one. They will only repair it and make u take pics videos and the process is very long. So I switched to a bougerv power inverter. Customer service is top notch with bougerv and they have a 7 year warranty. For peice of mind I just no longer could stick with bluetti. Customer service and a better warranty means a lot. Def nice work on the video. Just sharing my experience with bluetti.

That's a lot of bluetti! I like the workshop with all the other systems in the bg. I'd bet the difference in the system efficiency using the inverter with one vs two batteries is the batteries current draw. Batteries usually have a variable measured capacity based on what level of draw they have.

Thanks again for your review and video. I am looking into getting a tow behind camper and am looking for a smaller all in one unit to add to it. We sometimes get sites without hookups and I know there are a lot of variables involved but can you recommend any brand that you would recommend? My needs are backup for the lighting/refrigerator (most likely AC or 3 way) ... I would probably add a small electric heater or small portable or window A/C unit. I understand the electrical loads that the AC or electric heater at startup and to run would be substantial. I most likely would be adding them later (as they may come with the trailer I am looking to buy) So I am looking for a portable system with decent capacity (maybe that could handle 200 amp hours of usage to start) I would like to be able to charge it with shore power or portable solar panels. Or if you could point me at one of your spreadsheets for camping that would be great as well. Appreciate your help. Gary

Hi David, That is a nice system and fairly easy to lug around, one piece at a time. Your sacrificial laptop has been through so much with all these test. LOL. Bluetti makes some nice stuff, they have a new power station with removable battery packs that can power things like their new mini fridge/freezer. Steve.

No I fixed the AC 500. We're better off to get the 6 batteries. Was it and i'm another a c five hundred with six Batteries with that being on the safe side and make sure you have the solar panels to charge them. Especially, you don't get to grid. Well, at least I don't. Make sure you're can everything in your house. At least for the most part shaken look like Normal Knowing you'll be dipping a little higher than a power search of 2 of them. And then the path to get another tool of I'm just a so I can't wait. The power needs that you need. And maybe get the EP 800. The output on that. You're gonna be there short and batteries. But they only take 4 batteries to each of them. But you can pair up to 4 of them or three of them or something like that Which would make up for the widespread misery in a voltage? That you're missing to run everything in your house and actually better. Run everything in your house. I knew some other generators. Just a backup power when you run. No one power especially when it comes you get three weeks of no sun.

Your videos are very informative and helpful...thanks. Packed with useable data. Based on your videos I'm looking at a Pecron E 1500 or Vtoman Flash Speed 1500. With coupons they are similarly priced. Preferences?

It would be great if you would make a video on a compatible auto switching critical load (sub) panel for something like the Bluetti AC500 / AC300. The only ones I could find were from Generac for their whole home generators. EcoFlow might have such a panel. Bluetti IIRC used to have such a panel but they discontinued it. A manual switching panel is serviceable but an auto an auto switching panel would be so much more convenient.

One thing you CAN do even with a manual xfer switch and the AC500/300 is to set wire in 30A or 50A AC connection to the AC300or 500 and then put your critical loads switched to GEN and then set your AC300/500 to UPS mode. It'll pass through grid power to the loads and then auto-switch to battery if grid fails. The only trick then is to have enough AC input to pass thru for your critical loads and the AC500 would be the best choice for that since it can take 50A input

David, I just want to caution your subscribers that, in order to get the 30% tax credit to lower the price, they will most likely have to install some kind of transfer switch to prove the purchase is for home energy improvement. You also might need to have a home energy audit done to get the credit. The IRS defines battery storage technology as follows: "Qualified battery storage technology costs are costs for battery storage technology that is installed in connection with your home located in the United States and has a capacity of at least 3 kilowatt hours (IRS Instructions for Form 5695)." It does not say "permanently installed," so you'd still have the option of portability with a plug-in transfer switch. But I would suspect, based on the language, that you cannot claim the credit merely by purchasing the units. You'd have to demonstrate an installation that would allow it to serve as a home energy solution. As always, do your own research.

I’m in the market for a larger power source. I was looking at the EcoFlow Ultra, but this would be a great option as well. Love your videos! Thanks!

I have a big question....how long will that AC 500 run one oil heater on its own ?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors 4 ай бұрын
Really depends on which heating mode you're using (low/med/high) and how many battery modules. But you can pretty accurately estimate by taking (3072Wh x 0.85) x number of modules ÷ continuous Watt load. Oil heaters (and space heaters in general) are heavy loads and that's why I use them for load testing (also because they're quiet).
