This thing of Joe Brumm leaving kinda reminds me of one of the head writers of Pokemon, who pretty much left after Orange Island or whatever, because of how he hated how executives didn't want his darker vision to happen since, he doesn't own Pokemon. It's owned by Nintendo after all. It's that similar vibe I get.

In my opinion, what’s happening to Joe Brumm is similar to what happened to Stephen Hillenburg on SpongeBob after the first movie. Leaving the show production and trusting his friends and team who has a huge love with the show to continue the production without his full involvement. I know there’s people who think of this similar situation will already worry because of the bunch of controversy and toxicity on SpongeBob’s fans when it comes to “disrespecting the creator’s wishes”, even tho all the decisions the team behind SpongeBob was always approved by Stephen until his death. And I see the trust Joe Brumm is giving to his team, the same way how Stephen trusted his team to continue the show without his full involvement, no matter what will be the plan for the future, Joe Brumm knows he can trust his friends and team to keep the heart of the show.
@princesspikachu39153 күн бұрын
Yeah, but Brumm also writes nearly every episode himself or with someone else. Without Brumm’s writing, the quality could be at risk. However, it could open up the possibility for BETTER storytelling. “We’ll see.”

I think what made these first 3 seasons of Bluey so appealing is that it was made by a parent, for fellow parents. He has known how difficult it is is to raise a child, but it also shows how rewarding it is. I think it should be a prerequisite for the next head of Bluey to know what it is like to be a parent, to go through the hardships and beautiful moments. The good thing, is that I think everybody loves Bluey to much to let it go bad.

I’m hoping Bluey airs in reruns on TV forever. What I fear the most is Bluey fading into obscurity by 2035-2040, with Disney not streaming Bluey by then. Similar stuff happened to Dragon Tales, a show Gen Z kids remember.

I'm a bit apprehensive of the prospect of the show continuing without Joe. Of course, I want more episodes of the show, but, I would much rather have the show end now, then continue at a much lower quality. It's definitely not guaranteed to happen, and I'm not even assuming that season 4 will be bad, but, even if it is just okay, that's still much worse than seasons two and three, and rather the show end on a high note, even if I don't personally think that "Surprise" specifically is all that good of an episode or finale. (That's ignoring the movie of course)

Joe Brumm commented on why he made the Stickbird episode about him having to accept that his "baby" (the Bluey property) was no longer entirely in his control. It is quite possible that he's felt pressure behind the scenes from ABC or other entities to change elements of the show in a way that he doesn't like, and he's burned out. That doesn't mean that the show will lose quality without his involvement, but it could turn out to have a different vibe than if he chose to stay on. For MLP: Friendship is Magic fans, creator Lauren Faust also was both disappointed at how her show wasn't aired in a form that fit her initial vision but was grateful that the show as is had a positive impact on so many people.

Even if new episodes suck, the experience we've got so far, can't be taken away. As they say, all good things must come to an end. Though I don't think it's impossible for other writers to emulate what Joe Brumm did, to a certain extend at least. Like writing stories based on their real life experiences, leading to a possible plethora of stories. Though telling such stories in a child-friendly way, by basically telling them from the perspective of a child, without all the dumbing down and slowing down, that is usually done, requires a whole lot of empathy, I think. And perhaps a solid access to your inner child. Something that Joe Brumm, solely based on how he portrays basically himself with Bandit, seems to possess.

But I really hope that his colleagues (Charlie Aspinwall, Daley Pearson, Richard Jeffrey, and everybody else at Ludo) will continue his legacy and make Bluey as good as it now. I saw the letter fist before the announcement for the movie. Actually it was one of my friends who shared the news to me. When I saw that I had to confirm it was true and the it was, Joe Bruum’s letter confirming that the Movie is in store! But what kinda saddens me is that he is thinking about to end the show after the movie is both sad and understandable. Bluey is Joe’s passion project that began to grow into what we know today as the greatest kids show ever! My dad even asked me “if the movie would take that long to complete would anyone still be interested in Bluey?” I thought about it for a few seconds and then concluded with a strong yes. Because Bluey has been showing much impact on many people and there are many ways to still enjoy the show and since the movie is coming out this will bring many more people who would love a bigger scale of their favorite Blue Heeler family show. And I dig that. But it’s like what Gerald said in Toy Story 2: “You can’t rush art.” Many people tend to forget the original purpose on something because they are too blind to see what happens next for our favorite characters and that makes me sad and a bit mad on certain things. Bluey isn’t going to last forever but that’s fine. Bluey has already showed us many lessons for kids and even adults that they should understand that there are many other amazing shows and movies out there but that’s fine doesn’t mean you need to distant yourself from the show entirely. Bluey will live forever in our hearts and memories and that’s what matters. If there already is one more season coming out then I will be happy but I will still remember what Joe wants and respect that. If you have a passion project that’s great and it’s entirely up to you to figure out where the story will go for now….

I was originally very concerned after hearing the big news, of course, I was immensely excited about the movie, there's no doubt about it… but Joe's letter was originally disheartening to hear, considering he's virtually the heart of the show's vision… but… now after an entire day of reflection, I have come to a much more optimistic conclusion: So, first of all, I find it immensely admirable that the entire crew (being as lovely as they are) all respected and embraced Joe's decision, I'm glad he's focusing on his passion project for once without getting stressed about due dates and production deadlines, he can finally relax, chill the beans and focus on his main priority: the film, which will deffo serve as the show's official closure and Joe's ULTIMATE magnum opus, and close with a flourish, masterfully and in full grace as it was always intended to be from the very start, as Joe himself once stated: "once the show is over, it's over”. Now for the series production, I'd like to believe these two seasons that were trialed in the press release, will be the last ones, we can truly tell it's the end of an era, the classic Bluey era… but now we're heading for a distinct approach; while these few seasons won't count on Joe's guidance, all points out he personally chose who to pass the baton to, someone trustful and fully capable of continuing with the show conserving it's quality and spirit, promoting that special someone into the director status and him, keeping an eye as a consultant to revise the show's progress once in a while (exactly like Steve Hillenburg did back in Seasons 4 and 5 when he passed the show's control to Paul Tibbit), and we can be assured that whoever takes that responsibility, will follow Joe's vision as true as the studio has always delivered. We know there have been co-written episodes all through the series, so this symbolizes some sort of test… what has Joe's guidance transmitted to these writers and how are they following his steps? That's what we're about to find out. Who could that be? The answer variation is vast! He could trust one of his family members who is enamored with his creation (his brother Dan or his wife Suzy), his right hand (Daley Pearson), or anyone from the crew, either a head writer, a head storyboard artist or one of his co-writers of such specific instances! This will probably last for the intended run (those upcoming two seasons) and then, we'll be greeted by Joe's masterful once again surprise with his ultimate MAGNUM OPUS (the film he's been planning since the very beginning)… just to give us a satisfying, gratifying and bittersweet goodbye… this seems the ideal fate for this masterful series, let's hope with all our might it's the followed path and that this MASTERFUL conclusion can be our way to tell Joe, Ludo and everyone involved on creating this MASTERPIECE of a show... to say THANK YOU. 💖💖💖 "Oh! Goodbye. Have fun… I'll miss you…” Us in 2027

They can make season 4 more like Arthur and focus more on the families of Bluey's friends. One episode on Bluey then one on McKenzie then one on Judo, etc. I mean we love these characters so no one would be up in arms. I also think more Bluey inspirations are bound to come. Some hit some don't. I think we're seeing what happened in the 90s when the Simpsons spurred this wave of animated sitcoms and the same for Seinfeld inspired shows such as friends, frasier, modern family, etc.
@cliftonchurch60393 күн бұрын
From my perspective, Bluey has been reliably good because it uses standard storytelling structure and even leverages the A/B story framework to push both the kids' and the adult stories forward, with both stories working toward the same lesson on two levels. Of course, that's also all done in 8 minutes, which is a great in and of itself. The team uses every moment of the episode efficiently, and packs both the audio and the visuals with story progressing nuggets, whether they are noticed or not, which is also why the show needs such a good composer, as keeping up emotional moments with music is so important in the series. Speaking of music, if they ever care to attempt another game, I'd suggest licensing Konami's Dance Dance Revolution engine and simply making a music/rhythm game with all the music. Kids love dancing as play already, so a dancing game makes complete sense. Just trim everything down to around a minute thirty, and there's a chance these songs can live on through the main DDR series

This happened with Friendship Is Magic too, though with that the creator walked away after creative differences. Even so, it continued for a long time after. I think something we are missing is that when somebody creates a piece of work that is greater than life, it takes on a life of its own. The basic rules about how the Bluey world works is baked into the show. Honestly the only difference between a new writer stepping in and a fanfiction artist is that one is more qualified and is given the right to have their work published as canon. But the true test will be if a new writer can capture the essence of Bluey and expand on it. Really the only thing I do not want is that I don't want things to be fundamentally altered in order to appeal more to one group or another. That includes the adult fans like myself. I shudder to think of Bluey as run by a committee with making alterations to characters so that they are more easily digested, rather than the unapologetically Aussie characters we have currently.

Autism didn’t exist according to them. I was written off as an asshole that was doing it on purpose. I never got help. Everything that could go wrong did. That is why I’m a great teacher, and hopefully soon a great mom, because I know how NOT to be. I fell in love with the show because it reminded me of my kiddos and of the mundane even happy moments of childhood that abuse made me forget. I got chased out by a coworker and became extremely depressed as I lost all 26 of my kiddos and it made me come to terms with the fact that my son was really gone prior I’d suppressed it. But it was losing him all over again. Bluey takes me back to when I was actually HAPPY.

If anything I hope he passes the role to an existing member of the team. I worry if the series is passed onto an external writer, it would dip the show’s quality.

I’ve thought on this for a day now and I think I want to take a different approach. While the show is really the passion of Joe, at the same time I think him stepping away gives a unique opportunity. Maybe now other members of the crew can create episodes based on their life experience like Joe has and simply adapt them for the show. I think the future is going to be bright.

Worst case scenario, we get more child centric episodes with emphasis on the imagination and play than specific emotional experiences. There will still be enough of the staff from the previous seasons to support the shows emotional core, and there's nothing that confirm that Joe won't have some involvement in new seasons just that he's allocating his leadership and writing toward the movie production more.

I’m obviously very excited for the movie. That being said, I’m perfectly fine with the show eventually ending gracefully rather than being run into the ground. It’s obvious Joe Brumm knows this as his real kids are clearly growing up and having it end with the kids being the parents they want to be would feel perfect. I know this show is still popular and the creators still want to work on it but eventually, it will come to a grand true ending and I’m looking forward to it regardless.

Do you ever think the series could end once all the child actors are to old to act, like hitting puberty?

Is Joe Leaving Bluey a good ending or a bad ending? ‘We’ll see’ 😉

I thought seasons 1-3 hit hard already... if Joe Brumm never comes back after the movie... holy crap The movie... I can't even imagine.

Honestly, I would rather the show end then to go on and lose its good writing and passion. I don’t want it to go down as a series with a bad ending, it should go out on a high note.

I'd imagine alot of people who stuck around from the beginning will still be there working on the new season. He didn't write every episode.

BLUEY movie heck yes!

Although it is sad he won't be involved I do trust he would only entrust the show to someone he knows will do a good job, I mean he cares so much about it. I imagine the popularity of Bluey was not expected and well every creator wants their show to live for a few years, they do want an end eventually in order to move on to something else and I am sure Joe did not think it was going to go on for so long and honestly there is no end in sight which for fans is amazing but pretty draining from a creative standpoint. I do not think he is leaving cause he thinks the show is not important to him anymore just time to move on.

First off, Bluey Movie... FOR REAL LIFE!!!??? AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Second, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 😞🥲😭 This, in my eyes, is similar to Stephen Hillenberg (sorry if I spelled his name wrong) being absent from SpongeBob SquarePants. The creator of the show may mot be a part of the show anymore, but it doesn't mean the show's over. I do acknowledge that with Joe Brumm's departure, a certain spark, warmth, or essence in Bluey could/will be lost if/when more Bluey comes out without Joe at the helm. Just to be safe, I want to say this as a die-hard Disney fanatic; Ludo Studios, DO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT SELL BLUEY TO DISNEY! DON'T DO IT! No matter how much they offer to buy Bluey, ESPECIALLY after the movie release, DO NOT SELL TO THEM!!!

So Joe is leaving Bluey? Crap...... i hope we get season 4 before the movie. And also that with Joe gone, we don't get a Kathleen Kennedy treatment.....
@princesspikachu39153 күн бұрын
Kathleen Kennedy won’t be able to interfere with it. Bluey may air on Disney and stream on Disney BUT they don’t actually own Bluey.

This reminds me of when Britt alcroft left her own company After Thomas And The Magic Railroad was a flop and a new writing team came in So basically Bluey will get its own Later Classic Era It's own Hit Era It's own Miller Era It's own Brenner Era And it's own BWBA Era And worse It's own AEG reboot

I can get why Joe Bryan wants to leave, after a while, it’s a lot of expectation put on your shoulders and it can wear on your, so I can understand that. He made an amazing show though ❤ Maybe for the movie, and I really want to see it happen because I know what it’s like, I’d love to see them do a full on story line about divorce, maybe with Aunt Trixie and Uncle Stripe, because of how much they argued in the Sign. I think it would help so many people who’ve gone through the same thing, me included 😊 You make amazing videos, I hope you have an amazing day!
