Here's my demo of the incredible BluGuitar Blubox. This thing took me by surprise, as I usually don't like impulse responses that much. But maaaan, does this little blue fellow sound good... =D

Thank you, Gregory! 🙏🏻🥰 My bassist liked the Blubox better, than the cabinet… 😃 And yes, it‘s really easy to use. The Mic Position knob makes it so easy to use, you could bend down during a solo and change your sound. 👌🏻

Hi Manuel, endlich hat sich mal jemand die Zeit genommen und alle Sounds der fantastischen BluBox in ein Video gepackt. Ich nutze selber den Amp1 mit Remote 1 und BluBox. Die Sounds sind absolut amtlich und jeder Gig ist so unkompliziert! Ob mit externer Box oder direkt aus der BluBox in die PA - es klingt immer mega! Vielen Dank für Dein Video! Hey Bernd, vielen Dank für Deine lieben Worte! 🙏🏻🥰 Und ich kann Dir nur beipflichten, der Amp 1 mit Box ist schon eine Offenbarung und ja noch ein sehr analoger Ansatz. Dass die Blubox live eine Erleichterung ist, dacht ich mir auch schon, dass sie allerdings auch im Studio und bei höchsten Soundansprüchen so gut funktioniert, hat mich wirklich sehr überrascht! Hatte nicht erwartet, dass ich sie sooo gut finden werde. 😃 Und auch der Approach, dass man nichts selbst laden kann, sondern 16 fertige top vintage Sounds am Start hat mit der Einfachheit des Mic Position Reglers schnell perfekt im Mix platziert… Ich bin begeistert! 🥰 Danke für Deinen Kommentar und fürs Abonnieren! your are great player i like the layla riff and the james gang funk 49 riff of the tweed setting the blug box sound very realistic but i also like the long 5,67m speaker cable that blugguitar make that works also great with all cabinets and amps and i thinkt this cable head a very good warm midrange translation

Manuel! This is the best Blubox demonstration video out there, many thanks for creating and sharing it! Quick question. Thomas has said that for the best sound you'll have to connect the Blubox to a speaker or loadbox. What are you using here in your studio?

Ich finde das Ding auch super, ich habe es bei Aufnahmen mit meinen Friedmans benutzt und liebe vor allem die IR der 1967 Park Box. Mittlerweile habe ich zwar auch ein TUL Mikro, nutze aber weiter die Blubox.

The sound you‘re hearing is straight out of the Blubox into the audio interface. There’s a guitar cab connected to the amp, though, in order for it to behave the right way. But you‘re hearing the Blubox only in the video, except for the time when it‘s specified.

An beides… 🙂 Also sie hängt am Boxenausgang meines Ampswitchers, der geht dann durch die Through Buchse in mein Isocab und der XLR Out der Blubox geht direkt ins Pult.

Schade, dass man die Boxen-Sounds nicht an einer Passiv Box nutzen kann..... Im Proberaum habe ich übrigens das Problem, beim direkten Zugang zum Mischpult, dass die Bluebox rauscht....

@@hilmarholland3986 An einer passiven Gitarrenbox oder an einer passiven Fullrange-Box? Gitarrenboxsimulation in Gitarrenbox würde ja keinen Sinn machen, weil man dann nen doppelten Filter hätte. Und mit einer passiven Fullrange-Box kannst Du sie nutzen, Du brauchst nur ne Endstufe dazwischen, aber da gibts ja genug kleines Zeug heutzutage, etwa die Harley Benton GPA 100. Würd man alles noch aufm Pedalboard unterkriegen. Und zum Rauschen: Ist es die Blubox oder der Amp davor? 🙂

Es ist auf jeden Fall eher eine philosophische Glaubensfrage als dass es irgendwas mit dem Sound zu tun hätte. Oder um Jonas zu zitieren, der beide Sounds auf dem Pult liegen hörte: „Die Blubox klingt schon fetter!“ 😅

@@manuelbastian Ich habe die Grossmann-Box auch. Es fehlt einfach dieses "Box in the room" - Feeling. Und das hat schon viel damit zu tun, wie sich die Tiefmitten entfalten. Die entstehen halt nicht 3 cm vor der Speakermembrane, sondern durch das Zusammenspiel von Speaker, Speakergehäuse und eben der Anregung des Raums. Da Thomas in der Bluebox ja auch mit IRs arbeitet, sind (so vermute ich) diese räumlichen Informationen in den IRs der Bluebox mit drinnen. BTW, dachte immer, dass Glaubensfragen eher religiös und nicht philosophisch wären ;-)

@@opodendorf Ich find der Schlüssel bei dem Isocab ist nicht zu laut reinzuhupen, sonst wirds auch boomy. Ich nehm auch, wenn ich nen Raum hab meine Amps immer close-mic‘d ab. Weiß nicht wie viel Raumanteil dann im Signal landet, aber ich halte es für vernachlässigbar. Mich stören da mehr die boxy Sounds, die man mit geringerer Lautstärke gut vermeiden kann. 🙂

@@manuelbastian Danke für denm Tip. Werde ich ausprobieren. Auf der anderen Seite, habe die IsoCab ja extra dafür, dass ich den Amp auch in die Endstufen-Sättigung (ich habe eher 20 Watt amps) fahren kann. Ich persönlich warte weiter geduldig auf den ampX, der soll 5! BlueBoxes mit drinnen haben. Es freut mich, dass der Kontakt zwischen dir und Thomas entstanden ist. Freue mich auf weiteren Content von dir/euch.

@@opodendorf Hast Du es mal mit einem Attenuator probiert? Ich benutze den Boss Tube Amp Expander vor meinem Isocab, das funktioniert super für mich. Volle Endstufensättigung bei geringerer Lautstärke. Ich freu mich auch wahnsinnig auf den Amp X! 🙌🏻 Das wird der Wahnsinn! Und ich freu mich, dass ich Thomas kennenlernen durfte! Freu mich auf einen regen Austausch! 😃
